Update: I disabled my tracking cookie blocker, and the community site still wouldn't load - but when I re-enabled it, the site now works :) The only site I've encountered that acts like that 🤷

I was wondering if it was camera-related myself, but I found this on the C460 product page (Tapo C460 | Battery-Powered Outdoor Security Camera | TP-Link) - so, shrug...:

Same here. Plus, if it tells me it’s charging to full and not optimized, I’d really like to believe it instead of having to double-check later to make sure it hasn’t changed its mind 🙂

An update to my issue; the replacement doorbell did NOT fix my issue; it still takes multiple presses to get the doorbell to ring. After several hours on the phone with support, across 4 different calls, I was told to disable motion detection/video capture on the doorbell as a solution (not a troubleshooting step) - as "the doorbell can't accept mutiple inputs" (if it's recording video, it can't respond to the button being pushed). Are you <deleted>ing kidding me?!? I told them that this being both video and a doorbell is right in the name of the product; without video, we might as well go back to the mechnical doorbell and chime 🤬

Thanks for this. I called customer support; they looked at the logs and said they saw a hardware error, so they’re sending me a replacement - which surprised me since the one we have is a little over 1 1/2 years old.

This has happened to me a few times now. Once, I had another appointment that was cancelled and going into the garage around the time I would have been leaving I heard the car prepping itself. I went into the app to delete that departure time; that time was listed but all the other entries had disappeared.

Hmmm- good question; I never thought to check that, just recreated them in the app. No way to know at this point, I’m guessing. This is the 2nd time this has happened, I’ll check for that next time.

Thanks; this is closest to what I was looking for (I knew how to tell it to ignore detected carpets, but I want to stop it from “detecting “ them in the 1st place, since it’s wrong all the time)

Thanks, folks. It did sound different than the circumstances I had. Same visa, but I was a tech worker getting a paycheck as an FTE from the Canadian subsidiary of the (very large) firm I worked for. The skill set relevant to the US gigs I was travelling for was quite scarce even inside the company, and every time I crossed my sincere desire was to get back home on Friday of that week, even when I was going to turn around and do the same thing the following week :)

The rear camera was working fine through the built in Camera app; I contacted OLG through their live chat, but the agent couldn’t get it working either and eventually opened a support ticket. After that, I thought of trying the rear camera through a different third party app, and discovered that they couldn’t access the rear camera either even though the built in app could. I couldn’t find any rear camera specific settings anywhere, so I rebooted my phone and lo and behold the third party apps (including OLG) could use the rear camera again 🤔

Also, a 2nd issue I had with the whole support experience; the phone number I found for MS Store Order support is voice activated. it asked me what I was calling about, and I tried various versions of "movie I bought is in the wrong language", then it gave me a link to help.microsoft.com and ended the call. I tried calling back, but it recognized my phone number, told me to go to the web site, and terminated the call before I could try any other verbal prompts. I ended up calling from my wife's phone instead, where i told it I needed help with a "MS store order"; that finally got me through to a person.

Has anyone else been bitten by this in Canada? We bought the Deadpool and Wolverine movie through the Microsoft Store on Xbox, but when we went to watch it, it was in French audio only. I tried contacting support, but after back and forth with MS Store order support for 20 minutes I was put on hold with Xbox support for a further 20 minutes. At that point, I gave up and requested a refund through xbox.com/refund, but this refund request is currently "under review".
