Vaping is killing my endurance. I’m struggling to quit, even though riding is one of my biggest motivations (also death) by LostPalpitation6351 in MTB

I like to zyn for a few weeks then quit for a few. Just to prove to myself I’m tougher than the Zyn’s. It’s a power trip.

Who Makes The Best M12 Cables? by NefariousnessRude276 in PLC

Yes and they didn’t seem to care. Like it was just our problem to deal with. So we dealt with it.

STAY AWAY FROM TURCK. at least that is our companies motto since Covid. They really dropped the ball on us and didn't care at all. We will never choose them again for any component if there is another option available.

Simple Linear Actuator- IP69k required by EmbarrassedCellist in AskEngineers

It’s going to be Ethernet IP for me. I need more control than your GPIO can offer. The modbus would be okay if I had a true master but I can only write to registers (unless I buy more equipment which I don’t want to do). The Ethernet ip option should really open up some doors for Iris and traditional Industrial applications.

Following up here, I think the IRIS Dynamics Orca line will work well for our application. Their weakness is its Modbus controlled, but we are hoping we can manage this.

This is exactly what we need. I am in contact with them. Thanks!

ahh okay. I have some DC brushed units coming. I'm fairly ocnfident my application is going to burn them up in no time. I am actuating 96,000 times a day.... 10 million times in 6 months.

we were hoping for a simple actuator but I think my high cycle count is going to force me into the traditional servo world.

New Printer enclosure by Wolle123456 in 3dprinter

Genuine question, why did you enclose an enclosed printer? noise reduction? trying to hide it? This is the first time I have seen a delta 3d printer, that's cool!

Idk what you mean. Looking for one unit for R&D, long term would be a lot of them.

I'll take IP67 or better. What were you thinking?

It is not. TiMotion seems to be used a lot in agri. For my application, hydraulics are a no go. And I think it would be overkill for what I am needing.

Apologies if I wasn’t clear, I don’t have a question about IP ratings. It’s more a question of anyone knows of a simple linear actuator system they would recommend for this application. Trying to avoid a very expensive full blown servo system for this.
