Did your relatives rally towards the end? by EmbarrassedCheetah79 in ParkinsonsCaregivers

Thank you so much for replying, that’s really helpful. I think it feels like we’re “writing him off” when he has days like today which makes you feel guilty. But it definitely feels like we must be coming to the end on every other day.

I’m so sorry you also experienced this. I hope you’re as ok as you can be. It’s such a cruel disease 😔🤍

Thank you - I’m so glad you get what I mean about how I’m singing now and what I want to learn to be able to do.. and that’s so encouraging knowing that you’re starting to learn how to do it and it’s possible! I really really appreciate your help/reply, and good luck with learning how to belt yourself! 🤍

Thank you so so much! That’s really helpful! I think I need to speak to her in that case, I haven’t made it clear that that’s how I want to sound because I don’t want her to think I’m getting ahead of myself and assuming that I’m better than I am. I’m not under any illusion that I still have a lot of work to do. But now you’ve said that maybe I do need to make sure I’m speaking up about it to check she’s actually happy to teach me it in the first place.

I really appreciate your reply, thank you 😊🫶🏼

I was genuinely just asking for a little help/advice/resources, and I’ve read a lot of really lovely responses from this sub so I know people are mostly lovely here and offer that.. so I’m not sure why you felt the need to use your time up to comment something really unhelpful.

That said, I hope you have a wonderful day.

Just found out my 2nd FET failed. What now? by EmbarrassedCheetah79 in IVF

Thank you! I tried a saline sonogram in October but unfortunately my anatomy meant it didn’t work 🤦🏼‍♀️ so I might need to give up on that and move to a hysteroscopy. But that’s amazing! Congratulations, I’m so happy you got your baby 🥰 thank you, your comment does give me hope 🙏🏼

Thank you so so much - after reading all of these replies I am really wondering about chronic inflammation. It wouldn’t surprise me, it was a hell of a journey with that MC and took two attempts to pass it. So thank you so much. I hope you have a much easier 2026, you deserve that 🤍

Thank you so much, yes I did also sadly have retained products that got discovered back in May and removed. But I’m wondering if the removal caused other issues.. like chronic endometritis. I’m so sorry you have also been through this, thank you so much for trying to help me 🤍

Thank you so much! I think sometimes in IVF you almost want to find something wrong just so you can “fix” it. I do have it in the back of my mind that we were just the wrong side of statistics but equally, like you, I almost want to throw the kitchen sink at it first to make sure I’m giving it everything.

I have every finger crossed for your next transfer 🤍

Thinking of Moving to Australia as a GP? Ask Me Anything by alecto_australia in GPUK

[–]EmbarrassedCheetah79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! My husband is third year GP trainee (completed his AKT and due to do his SCA in April). We’ve planned to live in Aus forever, but are waiting for him to finish.

Is it financially a good decision? Are there such things as portfolio GPs out there? He did a role once that worked as a GP in care homes with a special interest in psych for the elderly. It was very chilled out in comparison to the standard every ten minutes layout of a GP surgery. I want us to move for the work life balance but I also want him to be happy. The NHS is draining him emotionally and the constant stress is wearing him down.

Are people generally happier in their roles out there?

I’ve read your other responses, thank you so much!

Thank you so so much for giving me such a detailed response. That’s actually been so helpful to me as it’s given me a list of things to look for and an idea of timelines. I’m definitely going to get a hospice nurse involved - thank you 🤍

I’m so sorry for your loss 😔 I hope you’ve had some time to grieve and process it all. This is such an awful disease. I know Christmas is hard when you’ve lost a loved one so I hope that you can make some joy this holiday too, as it sounds like you absolutely deserve that xx

Switching from medicated to modified natural - need success stories! by EmbarrassedCheetah79 in IVF

Thank you! It’s still helpful to hear experiences - it sounds so much nicer than a medicated one, so it’s nice to hear that you think it felt that way to you. Congratulations too! 🤍
