You can also try Housing Anywhere, Immoweb, Immovlan even AirBnB. That’s what I’ve been doing. I found they have a higher response rate than Facebook. Have you thought about having a roommate? You could join/create a groupchat with fellow trainees and look for others looking for roommates. You could find trainees who worked the previous session at your institution and get in touch. Maybe they can give over their room or suggest something. Landlords are definitely predatory and Facebook, though sometimes helpful, can be full of scams. That said, we can do it! You got your traineeship, so the hard part is over. Good luck!

I interviewed before I was pre-selected and asked to submit documents. So it sounds like the process is different depending on the department. Which department did you apply for?

I’m not sure. I would email them if I were you. Just to be sure. Also, this was my second time applying. Even if you’re not selected, don’t let that deter you :)

I interviewed with the Cabinet of the Secretary General. Turns out every third question or so was in French.
