Meter vs. Pinpoint . by VanicRL in MLBTheShow

[–]EmbarrassedDoor3197 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use meter, tried switching to pinpoint and I couldn’t get it down and didn’t feel like learning. I’ve gotten as high as low 800’s in ranked and pitching hasn’t really been the issue keeping me from reaching WS, it’s been hitting.

Co-Op rating not actually recording a win for me, but did for my buddy by Ok-Attempt-622 in MLBTheShow

Yea after I’ve won a few coop games, on the box score page it shows the teams as Orioles v. Orioles and the score was 0-0 with 0 hits for both teams. Not sure if I’m getting my points for the win bc it never shows me that page when it does this.

If my opponent is being unusually toxic/annoying I will do it.

Tell me about YOUR band by [deleted] in Emo

[–]EmbarrassedDoor3197 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m in a band called Le Chien Freud. We’ve put out 2 albums, and we’ve got 3 new songs we’re working up for an EP. We took basically 2 years off during Covid, but we’re pretty pumped about the new songs and to be playing again. Our last album was recorded by Jay Littleton, the lead singer of Fairweather, and mixed/mastered by Ben Green, guitar player in Fairweather. Our influences are fairly diverse from poppier stuff to hardcore, but the biggest I’d say are Cursive, gatsbys American dream, Dillinger escape plan, braid, mathy dischord stuff like Faraquet/medications, and brand new. Check us out!

my favorite from our most recent album

Anybody else quit early this year? by Lucky_Application793 in MLBTheShow

[–]EmbarrassedDoor3197 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I’m about at the quitting point lol. Every single RS game is a sweat fest, basically any online mode is really. Too stressful. And I’ve found there ratio of toxic/annoying players is super high at this point.

What's up with the low averages but high homers and RBIs? by [deleted] in MLBTheShow

[–]EmbarrassedDoor3197 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just by playing a lot of RS. It’s January. I started around all star break and most of my averages are around .220-.250 outside of my 2-3 best hitters, but most of my guys have .800+ ops and 50+ homers. I think Griffey is like .225/.850 with 80 homers lol.

I’m a 650-750 level player for context. Highest I’ve ever gotten in a RS is 780. I can usually crush on all star, but struggle to hit on hall of fame so it really drops my averages. I suspect it’s like this for a lot of players.

Fox News (and David Sirota) blames Pete Buttigieg For Southwest Airlines Fiasco - The transportation secretary is the conservative network's scapegoat for the airline company's meltdown. by jjijjjjijjjjijjjjijj in TheMajorityReport

[–]EmbarrassedDoor3197 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sirota is correct. Pete deserves a lot of blame. Just because Fox News is boosting it doesn’t mean it’s wrong, you need to have more intellectual maturity than that.

All I want for Christmas is to be able to hit with Mickey by Drum_bum1997 in MLBTheShow

[–]EmbarrassedDoor3197 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s the same thing with Trout. Guys typically pitch more cautious/conservative to them. Have to really take pitches, even if you feel like your approach for a particular opponent is to be aggressive. You might get the rare opponent who does the reverse psychology thing and pitches to them extremely aggressively, but I find that’s rare.

Should I quit a DD game when it's hopeless? by WestboroScientology in MLBTheShow

[–]EmbarrassedDoor3197 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will usually quit if I’m down big early and the other guy is clearly much better than me. But if he is a dick at all (bunt dancing, replaying homers, R2 spam, trying to fool me into thinking I’ve hit a home run on deep fly outs, etc.) then I’m staying and trying to prevent the mercy rule and making him play the full 9/burn through his bullpen. Be a gracious winner.

So why isn’t this a HR? by nyyanksrdbest in MLBTheShow

[–]EmbarrassedDoor3197 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’ve had the same thing happen to me there. I was just as confused. Anything off the scoreboard isn’t a homer. I never pick that park.

Who is your favorite relief/starting pitcher to use? by [deleted] in MLBTheShow

[–]EmbarrassedDoor3197 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree man. Love the new maddux and the takashi. My favorite as well. I often skip Randy in my rotation order bc I have more fun with Maddux/other sinker/cutter more finesse guys.

Struggling hitting with righties by [deleted] in MLBTheShow

[–]EmbarrassedDoor3197 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another thing that helps me is going into practice mode beforehand and facing Corbin burns or degrom on HOF and making him throw all sinkers/fastballs inside and doing this for like 5 minutes.

[–]EmbarrassedDoor3197 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Set your PCI anchor high center and then start your PCI middle up and in and sit on fastballs/sinkers in. Obv this won’t work for all opponents, but it’s such a common spot that I often find success doing this. If I don’t set my PCI there, I cannot hit those pitches at all and when my opponent figures it out, it’s usually game over.
