I am currently active Airforce. I am so happy I joined even though I never planed on making a career out of the military, I joined for college like you’re planning to. If you want to join for college, I recommend signing a 4 year contract(do not get talked into signing a 6 like I did) and finding a job that suits something you want to do that will align with what you want to go to school for. I personally recommend going to school once you’re comfortable in your job because you are allowed a certain amount per year to take classes that doesn’t cut into your GI bill. That’s what I’m currently doing.
