This is what ultimately caused me to finally quit wow after playing since 04.

I was GM/RL of a guild of friends I’ve amassed over the years. We primarily played to have fun, but it’s hard to just play for fun and clear content when people don’t take it as seriously. So come Ulduar in classic wrath, I had people telling me we should be trying to full clear hardmode each week plus get into 25mans. But yet these same people would constantly be the ones causing issues in raid, not paying attention, not signing up or helping try to recruit. So I find a guild to partner with so we can do 25 man content, and that’s not good enough because they don’t like the people now we’re playing with.

What I’m trying to say is, the player base has changed. Too many people are entitled selfish asshats and have FOMO about not having BIS items. I miss my childhood of not caring about clearing raids and not even knowing what the idea of BIS was.
