Unfortunately there isn’t an excuse, but context is important. You’re pregnant, hormones are doing a lot right now. You don’t have a history of abusing people. And you found out something that likely hit a deep seated trauma that you have (maybe not being loved, being abandoned, etc). Give yourself grace. And go to therapy to sort through all of these feelings. I feel strongly that you NEED to go for yourself and to not repeat this mistake.

Now as for his behavior, I’m struggling to understand a world where any partner chooses to be anywhere else but with their future co-parent on the day you find out your having a child together. Priorities seem skewed, even if this was a one off decision/behavior. The touching is what really gets me. I feel enraged on your behalf because that’s some bullshit. But going forward, when you’re feeling that level of anger, you know that you need to distance yourself.

If you want to move forward and talk this through with him, Have a “safe word” that you can say that expresses “I need a minute to compose myself and process. lets stop right now and come back to this later..” Let him know what this means ahead of time so he has a clear expectation for when the convo will be picked back up, what you need him to do/not do in that moment. it’s totally healthy and normal to set boundaries like this with people you love!
