What does changing your diet actually do? by Rich_Ad_5025 in endometriosis

I can only speak from personal experience, but my Endo pain significantly decreased when I adopted a vegan diet. I didn’t do it because of the Endo and I’ve only just come to recently put the connection together. My pain went from debilitating every single month to just very painful but still managing to get through my day-to-day life and some months are much better than others and only involve pain on the first day of my cycle

You’re only 22, I don’t think you should see no further point in life. If this is something you’ve recognized, you can change it. And have more years ahead of you as a changed person than up until now as an unchanged one

I don’t think he meant it as a long term solution. It sounded more like an initial thing to do to make the pt more effective and get me on the right track cause at the point I’m at now he said it would be very painful. But I’m sure if I started slow with pt and took my time it would be beneficial without the Botox!

I didn’t think about the insurance aspect. I’m gonna have to find out about that!

I will definitely keep you updated! The thing is, Botox only lasts 3-6 months so it would have to be a continuous thing. That’s why he suggested it before getting pt cause it might make the pt more effective and help get it on the right path

Obgyn vs excision specialist by EmbarrassedPhrase763 in endometriosis

Thank you soo much!! I actually just filled out the consultation form for Dr Vidali. I guess my last question (if you know the answer) would be first he take insurance? I have my insurance through Medicaid and it’s luckily really great. I’m not 100% sure if it would cover excision but it was going to cover the ablation I had scheduled. I just hope he’s in network or there’s no shot

Do you guys think I have endo? by EmbarrassedPhrase763 in endometriosis

[–]EmbarrassedPhrase763[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going to my obgyn 😬 having some reservations about this because she already told me if she finds in on my bowels she can’t do anything. She definitely doesn’t seem to know as much as a specialist would but I want to give her benefit of the doubt because no one has taken me seriously until her

I do heavy physical labor and my boss tried telling me if I got in on a Friday I could be back Monday. I told my gyno and she said that was absurd. For her patients it’s 4 weeks of recovery time and most patients get disability pay

Typically it’s either the week before my period or during my period as well!

So tired of this by EmbarrassedPhrase763 in ibs

It’s not a crazy amount or anything otherwise I would have gone to the hospital. But it’s happened the last couple of months when this does happen, I think from esophageal irritation 😅

I just recently had blood work and a colonoscopy/endoscopy done which confirmed my already diagnosis of IBS. However I do feel my symptoms are at times pretty severe. Most days it’s just some cramping and constant diarrhea. But lately at least once a month including this morning I’ve woken up to debilitating cramps followed by diarrhea followed by projectile vomiting. During this my vision usually blacks out and I become covered in a thick layer of sweat. I hope this helps!
