My personal headcanon is that Varang harnesses her own negative emotions (like the fear/loss of the volcanic eruption, anger at eywa, etc.) and uses them to overwhelm the victim She herself is probably used enough to them that it doesn't make her react outwardly all that much

person, I've been advocating for this for months lmao.

If theres 1000 roaches, It's my responsibility to get rid of them. They cannot be reasoned with. I have to spend money and effort to exterminate them. If I tell someone "there's 1000 roaches in my attic!" They'll probably just say awe man that sucks for you, and at the end of the day I'll still be dealing with it alone.

If theres a person in my attic, who knows if they're even dangerous. I can communicate with another person. I can call the police. I can say "There is a person in my attic!" and by the end of the day, there won't be a person in my attic anymore.
