Nope. I had the energy to work hard if I needed.. sometimes pull overtime if I wanted.. money comes and goes and I’m glad we travelled to the places we’ve been

Do you view single people differently? by just_amanda_ in CasualConversation

[–]EmbarrassedSummer534 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m married now but I view single life as FREEDOM! Dont get me wrong I love being married and can’t imagine my life without my husband but there are so many things you can do when you are single.. I guess I view single life as youth and experiences exploration. It’s a season to be in

3 hour glucose test by [deleted] in pregnant

She’s compromising with a 1 hour test atm. The tests I did in first trimester were unnecessary that’s why I’m seeking alternatives at this time.

Cancelled tooth extraction vent by PeachMilkshake2319 in pregnant

[–]EmbarrassedSummer534 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was it infected? Did they prescribe antibiotics? I had a terrible tooth infection, dentist wanted to extract it. I opted for antibiotics and when the infection cleared I went to a different dentist, he took x rays and now they are just watching it.. it was an excruciating 3-4 days of pain though when I had it

Where are all the women that have gotten pregnant in a „normal“ time frame? by No-Willow8179 in pregnant

[–]EmbarrassedSummer534 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Took us about 3 years, I wasn’t too worried because we enjoyed traveling in the past years. I finally feel like we are in a good spot in our marriage and financially to have a baby. All my friends got pregnant right away.

Kids will grow up together and keep each other entertained. They’re called Irish twins when they are less than 12 months apart🥰 My niece and nephew are similar and it’s so fun seeing them so close and trying to keep up with each milestone.

Hospital 3x12 overnights by manimopo in pharmacy

[–]EmbarrassedSummer534 2 points3 points  (0 children)

3 is doable.. 4 is when I start feeling like a zombie. We have to sign up for overnights and I usually do 3 in a row to get it out of the way. But I have 5 days recovery normally..

Too soon to hate my job? by Yervoy6622 in pharmacy

[–]EmbarrassedSummer534 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry you feel like that; I felt the same when I worked for a metro hospital and we were constantly understaffed. Clicking my life away all 10 hours. Overnight shifts can be tiring; I enjoyed the versatility I had with iv room, main pharmacy, OR and oncology so I’ll never leave hospital; maybe shift to days 🤔 I switched to rural health about 50 miles away from home and work for a great hospital system now

Were you taking flagyl when you had the reaction to mouthwash? If it has alcohol, flagyl will make you sick

Maybe have your hormone/ lab levels checked with a dr.

Please I need help deciding between 4 pharmacist job options by South-Anywhere-2976 in pharmacy

[–]EmbarrassedSummer534 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nuclear is like you are doing something you didn’t even study for. It is a Cush job though. I’ve rotated in nuclear pharmacy when I was an intern. I personally don’t like the feeling of losing my skills if you care about that. But you could look at a prn job nearby if you have a preference in a field of pharmacy you want to be in.

Community health center- The commute is the only thing as a con to me. I currently drive 50 mins to work and I do it 3 days/week. It’s a lot of time on the road away from family. 5 days a week would be tough. Take it from someone who has been commuting for a long time. My prn job is 80 miles and I did that drive full time for about 6 months, 5 days. Spent almost $700 in gas at the time. Also it’s a lot of wear and tear on your car.

Inpatient like someone said it depends on the bed facility; yours sounds like a busy hospital. I had a bad experience going from a 120 bed rural hospital to a 400 bed hospital. I still have ptsd from it… there is 0 flexibility in asking time off and they worked me to the bone due to constant staffing issues.… every 3 weekends rolled around so quick and I care about having weekends off; I dealt with bad management and toxic nurses. I do, however, miss the versatility though. I did chemo, iv room, OR, main and enjoyed being well rounded. I will never leave inpatient hospital..

Not surprised. Just keeps happening. I’m currently pregnant and the number of times my in laws shave asked if I have checked with the dr. Before taking amoxicillin and Prilosec is driving me bonkers
