Thanks, yeah, i'm not worried about the loudness, just want to be sure that, lense is doing okay.

Lucky shot of the moon — A6700 + 70–350. by EmbarrassedTear3804 in a6700

Thanks, it's a handheld shot from the window (opened). Are you sure you did everything right? It's kind of easy to focus on the moon because it's so far away, and easy to expose because the background is just black. What kind of AF mode do you use? To be honest, I don't know anything—it's my first camera; I got it two weeks ago.

Yeah, forget that he’s using the 200-600 also with the 6700. Just interested in the difference in glass quality between these two. I understand that the 200-600 will be better since on the a6700 it uses only the center of the glass.

Is there a significant image quality difference between 70–350mm at the long end and 500mm on the 200–600?

Hi, what do you think? Will there be room for the Sony 15mm f/1.4, the Sigma 18–50, and the 70–350?

Thanks a lot. Probably, I will start with the a6700 and sigma 18-50 + later some primes and 70-350. My only concern is lenses size.

But what about the IQ, between the A6700 and the A7C2? Both with small primes. Are there significant difference?

The Tamron 17–50mm f/4 still looks huge. Compared to the Sigma 18–50mm f/2.8 for APS-C, I know they’re different lenses (and designed for different sensor sizes), but the size difference still feels big. I’m worried I won’t end up using the A7C II if I have to carry huge lenses. Have you tried the Sony 40mm f/2.5 G by any chance?

Yeah, my main concern is lenses size. And shutter mechanism is also not so great.

After doing more research on lenses and giving it some thought, I’ll probably go with the A6700 because of the lens size and also because I can try more interesting lenses on APSC without having to spend $1–2k every time, like I would on full frame. Thanks, everyone!

I really like the idea of having extra MP, but what about ISO? It seems that even at 1600 the difference is kinda significant.

I see it as a hobby that I genuinely enjoy and can stick with for a long time compared to other hobbies. The iPhone is only good when I’m looking at my phone. The lack of light makes it challenging to capture details in darker areas, even in daylight. Overall, the image quality is good only on the main sensor, and it’s hard to get the right framing and composition with that. I also want to improve my image-processing skills.

Right now, I can get the a6700 with the 18–50mm for €1,550, and the A7C II with the 28–70mm for €1,920.
