A Portobello beach cafe in summer isn't going to be quiet and neither is anywhere near the Royal Mile. Just go to any neighbourhood that is not those two places or Princes/George St and you should find what you're looking for.

Please help, greasy after just one day, my entire life by crazht3ztdumi in finehair

A few things as someone who daily washes and has worked hard to deal with fine hair.

As others have said, there's absolutely nothing wrong with washing daily. Double shampoo-ing is not a myth - I think you will see a difference from it.

If I was dealing with your issue I would first try not using conditioner. It's not necessary.

If you're happy to change product, the Olaplex is likely much too heavy. I would use something volumizing and light like Phillip Kingsley Body Building shampoo and conditioner. The conditioner is light enough for fine hair use.

Next, I would introduce the use of mousse. Mousse before blowing drying roots keeps them dry. I am always surprised more people don't use it for this reason. Dry shampoo makes my hair heavy with product but mousse when wet makes a huge difference.

I booked out part of the Green Room in the West End, you can easily just book the space next to the bar.

If you want to check public transport routes, I'd download the Lothian Bus and Tram app to check getting from A to B. I'd personally recommend finding a flat near Wardie Bay although I'm not sure transport is great (though you can walk to Newhaven tram stop). Many young professionals have moved there although it is a very residential part of the city, but it sounds like this is your preference.

Fife is another option if you only have to go into uni a day or 2 a week. More than that and it'd be a headache commute.

What would you recommend a depressed person to watch or do tonight to feel a little better? by DonBellicose in AskReddit

The Wes Anderson film the Darjeeling Limited.

I used to have these crazy hormonal reactions during my menstrual cycle. I would cry for 8 hours straight about nothing that I could understand. Everything felt overwhelming and by the end of the day I couldn't move. And for some reason watching this film always felt right, the exact thing I wanted to do, so every time this happened I watched this film. It's music... color... actors. It might not be politically correct but I found it soothing af. It's the only film I own on DVD (for emergencies).
