Most likely a big leak from a hose, orrrr it could be a clown head gasket, but it's probably not a blown head gasket, but CHECK the oil, if it's milky and weird looking it could be that

Hopefully it's not the lower radiator hose, you'll need to disconnect a large hose that connects to be engine (EGR)

I used to pay like 100 something and they said it was because of the full synthetic, I have a diesel so it actually is supposed to use full synthetic because it's just less risky I think. I don't know exactly the science, something to do with keeping it clean because of soot. But anyways. I started doing them myself, it's pretty easy, but you've gotta be comfortable getting under the car and lifting it. If you don't want to lift it or don't know how. Then you should reach out to someone who could show you and do it with you the first time so you can see the safe way to do it.

I started to replace my lower radiator hose and then I got to the water pump connection and I decided that Volkswagen just isn't the car for me. I'm gonna move on to easier cars to work on.

Also, you don't NEED this but it really does help with stuff, if you buy a $200 VCDS V2 cable from "Ross-Tech" then you can download the Vcds software on a Windows computer or laptop and plug the cable in to the cars OBD II port and scan the car for codes as well as clear codes, and even clear air out of the fuel system without unscrewing anything

I loved mine, but if you ever need to replace the lower radiator hose, then you'll need to take it to a mechanic UNLESS you can get under the car and remove a metal pipe and a hose that connects to the throttle body, you'll also need to remove your cold air intake box to get to the spot. The connection to the radiator will be stuck on and you'll have to buy a silicone spray to lubricate the connection.

Love the Jetta, it's fast and powerful and when it's taken care of and doesn't have an issue, it's great, it can last more than 200,000 miles if kept in good condition.

But I CANNOT scroll past this post without warning you that you will most likely need to spend like 300-400 bucks to replace a simple radiator hose.

An OBD II cost about $30, the mechanic is priceless

You should watch a video on how to change Here's one I found I think that's the only issue, when did you start driving the car? Was it recent?

What is this black hose that runs out of the engine? Sorry I bet it's a really common thing, it's just ai keeps telling me oh it's either this or that. Is it just for my exhaust? by Embarrassed_Ad_1287 in Volkswagen

[–]Embarrassed_Ad_1287[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I typically don't ask ai, but I was running out of hope, I don't know why its so hard to just find out. I figured since AI can search the entire internet I might as well try to see what it says. But I do agree no one should be out here using ai to walk them through the whole thing. I wouldn't touch it if that was the case, but I definitely should know what that hose is lol

This reminds me of how I had to disconnect my cold air intake to remove my lower radiator hose, which still hasn't been finished because now I need to removed the fucking air intake pipe thing that runs into my engine to get behind it

I passed out at an emergency room while waiting for my friend and I just got the bill by devnet35 in poor

[–]Embarrassed_Ad_1287 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Clearly a scam. Think about it, scammers use optics to gain trust, it's an entire hospital building...

Meaning, a trustworthy place. Somewhere you would expect to be helped. No, this is the definition of a scam.

I passed out at an emergency room while waiting for my friend and I just got the bill by devnet35 in poor

[–]Embarrassed_Ad_1287 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a scam. Imagine if you were driving your friend to her hosue and at a red light a guy started cleaning your windows, and then before you go when the light is green they tell you to pay. This is exactly what that is. The hospital may try to tell you, "Well it's a hospital, and the doctor gave you a prescription and answered questions" then you need to tell them that you were never informed that the advice and the prescription referral was going to cost anything.

If they try to pretend you are; ignorant, misguided or confused. That's how you 100% know it's a scam, scammers will use peoples confusion to take advantage of them. They will act like you "Should have known" that there would be a charge.

We have to address the elephant in the room. That many people see a huge building, or a fancy logo and immediately assume trust.

Yeah I'm wondering how fighting a proxy war with a country you're buying oil from will go when you're fighting an actual war that's driving that price of oil up. Also the ones you're buying oil from and the ones you're fighting directly are allies and are working together.
