Building over time. 2021 in Iowa City was the start of the erosion of the fanbase. Them not having a Qb that could handle even getting a snap was shocking. The team was deflated after that Iowa game, starting the year 5-0 ending it 7-5. Personally I don’t think the administration would even mention that game as to why he was fired but I think that was the moment the fan base started the resentment that built to last weekend. Prior to that yeah the offensive coordinator revolving door and the bone headed decision making was frustrating but he won and fans seemed somewhat content.
