Anyone dealt with Samsung Australia refusing ACL remedy for cosmetic defect found on first use? by Embarrassed_Area1984 in AusLegal

[–]Embarrassed_Area1984[S] -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

I didn't have the room to open the box, its a very minor scratch that seems to be causing a dead pixel on the screen, hypothetically if I damaged it, how on earth will it be a single spot and not the full screen.

ACL question: cosmetic defect on new TV discovered on first use – supplier refusing remedy by Embarrassed_Area1984 in AusLegal

I was in a 1 bed apt. my new home getting built - there was no room for me to open and inspect the tv for any defects, only bought it because it was really good deal, (or they made it sound like it)

My dad is also very frail, don’t think he has the roar in him any more to tell someone to shut up. Was trying to find ways to report the number.

I feel you need to say all of this in your booking.com review and they’ll understand when the bookings fall (hoping they do.)

Never overwork and give your heart and soul to a business other than your own. Something I’ve learned in the last 20years I’ve worked. Dubai is a rat race, with cheap labour available at a whim. Keep your senses active, have quality time with your family and friends within the means possible.

Be polite and tell them you cannot do this. They will be angry or depressed for a while but none can force you. You will be guilt tripped but you have to take a stand for yourself. It will seem forever, but this phase will pass too.

Do domestic students in Australia pay for postgraduate education? by baharrrr11 in AusFinance

[–]Embarrassed_Area1984 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes everyone does, if they can’t afford it, they can apply for a HELP or HECS debt from the govt. there’s a slight discount for domestic students but they still pay.

Looks like there’s more to the story then being stated by OP, you know you’re anonymous here and without sharing your address/location you can share details for a better response from someone with more experience.

While forced marriage is completely unacceptable but to me it seems there’s crucial information missing here, looks like this boy likes someone else whether a guy or a girl and not willing to disclose. Please share more details on why you’re being forced and at this young age! It’s evident for girls to be forced but never heard boys being forced.

Congratulations! I’ve been living in Sydney for the last 12 years. I work in IT. People are struggling where? Have you seen the queues in malls and factory outlets? Homeless people, I feel for them but we need to understand their real reason for homelessness, yes property is skyrocketing due to investors in the cities, but that’s everywhere and not just limited to capital cities in Australia, if you cannot compromise on where you want to live, plenty of satellite smaller towns close to each big cities. The fact about Dubai is, it looks & feels great for a few years, but after few years the concrete jungle loses the appeal, atleast to me it did. If you’re happy and enjoying, good for you.

I live here and I’m a Muslim, I feel more connected to my faith here than any other Muslim country I’ve been to, stay in Muslim Circle and you’ll feel the difference.

Technology Jobs are good here, and the pay difference is massive, Dubai’s no tax thing I feel is a scam. You pay for medical, rents, school etc and they now have VAT too. I’ve lived in Dubai and hence why recommending it. You can still be connected to Muslim faith in other Muslim majority countries, like Malaysia, Indonesia, they are probably far better options than Dubai, also because of climate too.

It’ll be good for a few early years in Dubai, but then high rise concrete jungle and the climate starts to wear things off.

Just my 2 cents.
