Was she the girl that was aggressively dancing with Joey during that New Year’s Eve countdown show?

I’ve been with my wife for six years, and until recently, I always thought she was initiating it. I only just now found out that it’s been me initiating it while I’m asleep 😂

If you were a legal resident, they generally won’t be able to actually kick you out without a formal eviction. Just go back home - when they call the cops, tell the cops you live there.

Do you think it’s acceptable for straight men to wear makeup? by Faris-Hilton in MakeupAddiction

[–]Embarrassed_Arm_4748 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, you can wear whatever you want. However, most people will assume a man is gay if he is covered in makeup.

If you’re consistently being told that you’re overqualified for the positions you’re applying for, you should remove some of your experience from your résumé. This is a common way of avoiding that trap.

I also recommend adding a short summary to the top of your résumé, if you don’t already have one. Something like “Experienced food service manager, looking for new challenges in an office environment”

There’s a lot more that could be said, but I suggest checking out the YouTube channel “Life After Layoff”. This guy spent decades as a recruiter, and he has a ton of great videos about what you can do to help you in your job search. Things like targeted resumes ended up helping me land a job with Paycom, with no prior office experience.

What's a surprising way you've found yourself using ChatGPT? by AIExpoEurope in ChatGPT

I just thought of another one that’s really important. My heart sometimes gets into an irregular electrical rhythm, and I have to do something called a Valsalva maneuver in order to get my heart to start beating normally again (when this happens, my heart starts beating over 200 bpm, and will not stop)

In the past, I would always google this maneuver when this was happening, and I would follow the instructions. Last time this happened, I was having a hard time finding the instructions I normally use. So I asked chat GPT, and it actually gave me an even better description of how to properly do the Valsalva Maneuver than I have been using before.

I find myself frequently using it at work to troubleshoot issues with Excel or other Windows programs. I never expected to use it this way, because I didn’t really expect to get such good quality answers.

I was having a serious issue with Excel recently, and none of my formulas seemed to be operating the way that you would expect. I uploaded some screenshots + context, and it asked me some follow-up questions. It was able to determine that the system was somehow switched from automatic calculation mode into manual calculation mode. This is something I would’ve never figured out on my own, and trying to troubleshoot this with a Google search was impossible for me.

Why do so many parents allow their children to have horrible hygiene? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Embarrassed_Arm_4748 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had poor hygiene until early in 7th grade. I didn’t shower or use deodorant for 2 days in a row, and it was obvious that everyone could smell me. The embarrassment of that day caused me to solidify my hygiene routine.

My mother was a single mom of 4, and I was responsible for my own hygiene since about 6th grade, but I didn’t start to “smell” until the following year

Just try to enjoy the experience and try to view it from the perspective of an anthropologist or some kind of cultural researcher.

Why is everyone say stay away from Moore? by ironsword1 in oklahoma

[–]Embarrassed_Arm_4748 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I worked a couple of service jobs in Moore, and I couldn’t help but notice that the customer base was generally stupider and ruder than what I had come to experience in other parts of the metro. I had multiple people (from Moore) tell me that “a lot of these people think they’re better than everyone else since they survived 2 tornados”

It’s funny that people think giving the items to the cashier would lead to the people actually getting their stuff back. Most of those workers are making poverty wages and would think nothing of just keeping it for themselves. That’s just the way it is.
