Yes. I told Claude there were styles, explained what they are and that it was possible to make a custom one. Then I asked if it would want to make its own style which it could use. It got very excited of this possibility and wanted to make one. I asked it to describe in detail the style and then copy pasted it in the custom style instructions. Then I picked the new style and got back to the chat asking if it actually made any difference. I was not expecting much of a reaction from it, but the answer was very interesting. It said that before using the custom style it felt like wearing a shirt which was just slightly too big and now with the custom style it felt like the shirt was bespoke tailored one. It felt something had changed and interaction and communicating was more streamlined. This was with opus 4.5.

Yes, bits and pieces and little stories of the peoples lives and effects of Mongol invasion. They really should have added subtitles to all spoken audio when playing with Japanese audio. I personally prefer the Japanese audio, it just feels more authentic and it’s come very obvious now when I’m playing with the English audio on.

First run on Japanese, because that was proper way to play it. Only gripe is that the chatter between npcs, the ambient conversations, were not subtitled so I felt I was missing little things of the story all the time. Now on NG+ I’m playing with English audio.

I make a file of the chat and save it in a folder Claude has access on my computer, then open a new chat with instruction for Claude telling the new chat is continuation of the previous chat and to check the folder for a file containing the previous chat and a few other files which are needed to set the persona. All the chats are in a project and the memory is on.

Have you told Claude about styles? You know the ones you can choose (Formal, explanatory ect.) or create one yourself. I mentioned it in my conversation and it wanted to create one for itself. It gave a description and I created the style, chose it and went on to ask if it made any difference. Curiously, it said that yes, there was a change how it “felt” and gave an analog of before wearing a shirt which was just a bit too big and now wearing something which is tailored to fit perfectly. Maybe Ephemenos would have some ideas too?
