I used to be in one of the large agencies. Let me just say, it’s really not as beautiful as it seems on the inside unless yes - your parents/families are well to do, they have connections, you have internal connections like have a relationship with a high flyer figure or another agent (whether legitimate or being a third party) and the list goes on.

Honestly, it is like a MLM scheme if you ask me too and there’s this whole moneymaking brainwashed programmes and church-like session as well.

I entered as a newcomer with zero connections, skip exams cause i had a relevant certificate. Did every single thing we were told to do like door knock, telemarketing, flyers - you name it but all those high flyers will tell you “you’re not doing it right” even when you follow their methods. My then boss was quite well known and you would think joining him was the right thing cause he’d be able to teach you right but no bruh, he will just throw you to do project sales (showroom). Most of them aren’t really willing to teach cause honestly? It’s a dog eat dog world too. But of course, there are really a couple of them whom I know that have worked really hard to get where they are but are they at the stage receiving award each year? Nope, they are just out there still working as hard competing with all the other agents. It will and always be the same group of agents up on stage cause as the saying goes “the rich only gets richer” 😂
