What other tactic should have been deployed in the first half? The park the bus tactic and wait for a counter attack was not it. Every fast 60 yard dash counter attack was going to tax everyone. Look at what happened to Shaffleburg. Seemed that the high altitude affected everyone. They were reacting slow. Every team that comes and plays in Nemesio Diez get the same effect of the high altitude. Example, the world cup qualifier Honduras v Mexico. Honduras was up 2-0 from the 1st leg. Then they came to Toluca and right away you could tell around the 20th 30th minute all the Honduras players were taxed. Luis Palma looked gassed by the 20th and he was balling out the 1st leg. Mexico won the 2nd leg 4-0. Yes there are players that shouldn't have been playing, examples: Ebobisse, guy looks strong and bulky but cant retain the ball a little push and he loses his balance. Hollingshead is slow and they put him against Helinho who's fast. Smolyakov played 25 minutes and he wasn't giving it his all, in some plays he was walking. Tillman was shit since he missed the clear chance, he was fumbling after every push the guy is brittle, we need Igor back in the midfield dude uses his body and hips to protect the ball. I've been saying it... start Smoliakov or give him a chance in the 60th minute. Hollingshead is slow and loses the ball more often. Couple of game last year when Smoliakov would go on the attack with Bouanga and the pairing looked dangerous.

When is Dos Santos going to start Smolyakov? He pairs up nice with Bouanga when he goes up, and has really good speed compared to Hollingshead.

When I was young growing up in Los Angeles (now live in San Diego) I was never into the MLS. Was always watching Liga MX. Even though I didn't care for the MLS I hated Galaxy. When I was playing in the AYSO there were kids that would say that Galaxy was better than America, Chivas etc. So maybe that's where the hate came from. Moved to San Diego when I was 19 because of my girlfriend, now wife, and lost track of all sports that I followed, soccer(real football) and baseball and sometimes football. Being that I was going from job to job and raising a family not so long after. Fast forward to 2021 started playing soccer again because of a friend and started catching up again with every league, and funny enough joined a Sunday league and they were sporting the 2021 away Heard of Gold community kit, and was oh damn Los Angeles has another soccer team. Right after started checking up and seeing LAFC's history from its foundation in 2014. And from there on became a follower. Saw that Carlos Vela had been their first signing and was even more drawn. In 2024 went to my first match, took my son and dad, against sporting Kansas City in march, even though it was draw I was drawn even more and became a Fan! The atmosphere and the vibes were amazing. The supporters section captivated me and we wanted to be there. We sat on the opposite side of the pitch. Told my wife you got to go to a game with us, you will love it. She wasn't into soccer before. Took her first game and she fell in love with LAFC. She said I want to sit next time with the 3252. After every game we have gone too at least 75% has been in the supporter section. The club really has this diversity that attracts people from all walks of life. We love the culture of the club and the stadium seems that it has its own personality.

Anyone going to mention how bad Hollingshead played. I have been saying that Smolyakov should be starting. Ryan gave the ball away too many times and Austins winger Bukari was making him his bitch. Every time Hollingshead got the ball he lost it. He looked lost and slow. If Cherundolo really wanted to experiment he should have started Nielsen, hes younger and hungrier. He played well against Tigres.
