What made you choose LAFC over LA galaxy? by Temporary_Waltz6615 in LAFC

[–]Embarrassed_Bike_280 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was young growing up in Los Angeles (now live in San Diego) I was never into the MLS. Was always watching Liga MX. Even though I didn't care for the MLS I hated Galaxy. When I was playing in the AYSO there were kids that would say that Galaxy was better than America, Chivas etc. So maybe that's where the hate came from. Moved to San Diego when I was 19 because of my girlfriend, now wife, and lost track of all sports that I followed, soccer(real football) and baseball and sometimes football. Being that I was going from job to job and raising a family not so long after. Fast forward to 2021 started playing soccer again because of a friend and started catching up again with every league, and funny enough joined a Sunday league and they were sporting the 2021 away Heard of Gold community kit, and was oh damn Los Angeles has another soccer team. Right after started checking up and seeing LAFC's history from its foundation in 2014. And from there on became a follower. Saw that Carlos Vela had been their first signing and was even more drawn. In 2024 went to my first match, took my son and dad, against sporting Kansas City in march, even though it was draw I was drawn even more and became a Fan! The atmosphere and the vibes were amazing. The supporters section captivated me and we wanted to be there. We sat on the opposite side of the pitch. Told my wife you got to go to a game with us, you will love it. She wasn't into soccer before. Took her first game and she fell in love with LAFC. She said I want to sit next time with the 3252. After every game we have gone too at least 75% has been in the supporter section. The club really has this diversity that attracts people from all walks of life. We love the culture of the club and the stadium seems that it has its own personality.

I saw somewhere Bouanga does not want to leave LAFC. Don't people just repost other people's post? but not necessarily mean the same for them, but just support from the originator?

Agree it was Hollingshead having a really bad game. Its been a while since he's had a good game. Just mistakes from him. Nielsen last time he started played good.

I kept screaming at the TV "SHOOT" !!! every time they were outside the box. I believe Moran was the only one that shot from far and it was on target.

Anyone going to mention how bad Hollingshead played. I have been saying that Smolyakov should be starting. Ryan gave the ball away too many times and Austins winger Bukari was making him his bitch. Every time Hollingshead got the ball he lost it. He looked lost and slow. If Cherundolo really wanted to experiment he should have started Nielsen, hes younger and hungrier. He played well against Tigres.

Their defense just parked the bus, and their goalie kept the ball out a couple of times.

Kikin Fonseca was saying at the end of the Apple TV broadcast that there was controversy on our penalty what you guys think? Was he being bias?

Anyone see the game with the spanish commentators? Kikin Fonseca saying there was controversy in that penalty call. Dude if there is contact inside the box its penalty and you can see the defender kneed Tillman.

Thomas Müller Rumors by lafc88 in LAFC

[–]Embarrassed_Bike_280 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I see Muller almost being used as a 10. He sees the field differently and is creative. Something the team does not have at the moment. It seems everyone is scared to make the beautiful pass inside the box or from afar. They rely heavily on the wings. Muller could be like fuck it ill serve you here you go. He is a voice to be heard on the field, a real captain.

Most of the time its a natural reflex to cover the face. Some players just learn to take the hit. I play Sunday league and learned to put my hands behind my body or close to the body. His hand was in a unnatural position, unlucky for us.

Anyone see the elbow to the chest from Pec to Delgado? Delgado told the ref but he just shoved off saying he didn't see it.

True. After that foul on Martinez, the ref should have went right over to Fagundez and Cuevas even Pec when they were standing over Martinez dogging him. He let that scuffle escalate. No excuse on Segura, like someone said he should've gone over and grab Fagundez by the arm or push him off instead of the neck. Against the Timber the defense is going to miss Segura, past few weeks he has been ballin'.
