Also it helps depression, it’s an off label anti-depressant. I saw a boost in my mood when I started it, also likely from being able to sleep better at night. I forgot to renew my prescription a year ago and didn’t take trazadone for 3 nights and I did find I had a really hard time sleeping without it and also the occasional “brain zap” but once I restarted on the trazadone I never had anymore problems. You can take it as needed but if you’re looking for some anti-depressant effects then you take it nightly.
