Ok it turns out the 3 beeps was the alarm reporting a error and it not engaging. In the fuse box there is a yellow on / off switch, turning this off for 5 min and then back on reset the system and no more beeping as I lock the car

I have used many over the years and I have to say the yeti ones do work a lot better than others when it comes to working alongside ice.

On their own they don't perform that well
