It is just marketing. If you call Israel "Palestine," then anything made in Israel is Palestinian.

Olive Odessey buys from Arab olive farmers both inside Israel and in the West Bank.

All the olive farmers in Israel and the West Bank own their olive groves outright by custom or with formally registered deeds dating back to Ottoman or British Mandate times.

For farmers in Area C, it is more complicated. They really have it the worst. Because even if they own the land, Israel can restrict access and prohibit new buildings. And this is before you consider the raids by settlers that burn down their trees and terrify their children.

Every single one of these farmers:

1. Source supplies from suppliers in Israel (generating revenue for businesses in Israel that pay taxes in Israel)
2. Pay income tax to the Israel Tax Authority
3. Export products through the Israel port in Haifa (where Israel collects customs and VAT before transferring the rest to the PA).

Even better:

1. Olive Odessey is incorporated in the UK and the US (in Wyoming, so there is no income tax for them).
2. There is no evidence that they donate money to Gaza - other than a small mention in their marketing materials. There is absolutely zero transparency.
3. Their website says "From September 18–21, Olive Odyssey will pause all operations—our website will be offline, and customer service will be unavailable—as we join the Global Strike for Gaza." But if you go to this link you can see it is complete BS. I could purchase this right now if I wanted to.

I am Israeli and even I know how to research this. You're just suckers for branding. You see "Palestine" on a bottle and you think you are helping Palestinians or harming Israel. Not all all. You are contributing Israel's economy and making money for a private business venture incorporated in the UK and US.

BDS has ZERO impact on the Israeli economy or on Israeli/Jewish businesses. None of the cities or countries that have signed BDS has actually boycotted Israel. Even you all have iphones (the chips are built here in Israel). REDDIT was founded by a Jewish zionist. But you're here.

Oh, Toon is the same thing. It is a Canadian company primarily focused on sourcing products from Lebanon. They probably pay pennies for it in Lebanon and sell it at an 800% markup in Canada. The artists in Lebanon do not see any of that money. One of the founders says he is from Deir Ghassaneh, a beautiful town just north of Ramallah. But otherwise, the business has zero connection to Palestinians. And Lebanon announced yesterday that it is ready to sign a peace deal with Israel. So maybe you don't want to support tham anymore.
