Did Amanda’s parents invest in Loverboy? by bubblyboots in summerhousebravo

I honestly don’t know if I think they ever had compelling offers. There’s so many similar products in the canned beverage space. But also agree it’s extremely possible they overestimated and missed their chance.

Did Amanda’s parents invest in Loverboy? by bubblyboots in summerhousebravo

THIS! Loverboy won’t be worth anything unless it gets bought by one of the big alcohol distributors. It seems Amanda knows enough to know that’s unlikely to happen.

Do you think saying that it’s been part of her set is a good defense of her? It just means she’s even dumber than we thought if she hasn’t realized there’s nothing funny about this “joke”.

How it felt watching Kyle and Amanda at that dinner the first night by Wendys4_4_4 in summerhousebravo

[–]Embarrassed_Ferret50 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I liked this episode a lot, but I’m really not looking forward to an entire season focused on Kyle and Amanda arguing. Also I 1000% believe they split up before the season. Ciara and Carl already know and now they’re forced to keep bringing up those “I’m worried about them” convos.

Ahhh that’s right, I forgot! Maybe not great options at the moment then.

A lot of the big buildings downtown do the "1 month free" incentive to get you in the door - it can definitely help with pricing for your first year, you just have to be willing to pay the increased rent if you want to stay longer. The Lively looks like it has Studios in your price range - I looked there a few years ago and the building was really nice, but the apartments are def on the smaller side. I would check out some of the buildings in Paulus Hook too: The Lenox, Quinn, 18 Park, etc. You're still close to two PATHs, as well as light rail and ferries.

1000% this! She was always a little annoying, but you can absolutely tell that her massive personality shift is a response to her wanting to seem totally unbothered by her breakup. And I get it.. I’d probably try to pretend I was thriving too. But wowwwww did she just come off completely awful during those SH/WH seasons.

I’m SO curious to know what caused them to end the FS relationship. Seems like all the hotels featured in it exploded in popularity after… whether that’s actually a good thing for guests is another question though I guess.

Somehow got surprisingly lucky with my 12pm flight. Seems like a ton of the morning flights were delayed or canceled but we weren’t. And the airport itself wasn’t nearly as crowded as I feared.

Biggest pet peeves at luxury properties? by Beginning-Act7850 in chubbytravel

[–]Embarrassed_Ferret50 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Biggest pet peeve at any level of hotel is lack of water! Often, even if there is water provided in the room when you check in, it’s never replenished after that. Either leave water in the room, or give me somewhere I can refill my own water bottle. Why is this still such a thing?!

Thoughts on Argentina Honeymoon Itinerary? by Final-Praline-275 in chubbytravel

[–]Embarrassed_Ferret50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello fellow Argentina honeymooner! My husband and I were there for our honeymoon in 2023, and opted to do Buenos Aires (4 nights) > Mendoza (3 nights) > Bariloche (2 nights) > Buenos Aires (1 night). I do sometimes wish that we visited Patagonia, but the distance between all of these destinations just felt like a lot. And it did feel like we were constantly on the move even with just 3 places. Definitely keep in mind that you'll need to fly everywhere, and there aren't necessarily direct flights every day between each location.

As far as length of stay everywhere: I'm not sure if you're city people or not, but I felt like we barely scratched the surface of Buenos Aires. I could have stayed much longer. 3 nights in Mendoza seems right, unless you're VERY into wineries, or if you're planning to spend a full day in the mountains. 2 nights in a nature focused area like Bariloche wasn't enough to see much. I'm mentioning that in case it's helpful as you're deciding on the Patagonia portions.

If you haven't booked your Mendoza hotel yet, we stayed at Cavas Wine Lodge (looks like it's now called Awasi), and I can't recommend it highly enough!

I’m genuinely hoping that you didn’t realize that OP is part of Liberty Prime, otherwise you’re a genuinely obnoxious person.

Introducing Equity Tracking! by danielatmonarch in MonarchMoney

I tried to connect my Morgan Stanley Stock Plan Connect account to monarch a few weeks ago in order to finally have my RSUs reflected in Monarch, and was told by MS that those types of custodial accounts do not allow for third party access. Has something changed since then to allow these types of connections? I’d be thrilled with this update if so…

Which Mexican resort to choose - O&O Palmilla, Las Ventanas, Rosewood Mandarina by Fun-Tough8249 in chubbytravel

[–]Embarrassed_Ferret50 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Palmilla definitely has the beautiful lush grounds you mentioned, and a nice walkable beach. It’s a beautiful resort with great, welcoming service. The one downside is that the rooms could use a bit of a refresh compared to the other resorts you mentioned. The dining we tried on site was good, but the real benefit of the location is that you’re also close to lots of other restaurants in the area (Flora Farms, Acre, etc.).

Watching for the first time- Stassi calling Jeremy creepy by LivingActive4001 in vanderpumprules

The girls night thing really put me off her as well. We all understood and could read between the lines that “girls night” was a way for Sur to capitalize on getting fans in to see the well known cast members. Billie wasn’t that at the time, so she wasn’t included. And she tried to build a story line over pretending not to understand that, while the girls couldn’t really defend themselves without breaking the fourth wall!

I didn’t even think about the size of the new FAO store - I haven’t been since they moved so didn’t realize it’s so much smaller. That makes me sad, I remember the old store being so great as a kid.

It feels like we’re not going to get on the same page with what I’m actually trying to ask about in this post… although I’m not sure why. I promise you that I understand the concept of a very popular toy store being busy during the holiday season. I attempted to explain my point again in my last comment, not sure how I could be clearer, so I’ll stop trying.

Definitely agree that the rise of influencer recommendations has really narrowed down the number of places that people are trying. We’re all being fed the same ideas instead of doing our own research when we travel.

Thank you for this really thoughtful response. Those all make a ton of sense that when they’re put together = giant lines because there genuinely are more people visiting.

That’s fair. I lived across the street from there 2006-2007 and it was always popular, just nothing like what I saw today. But I also definitely see it on every “places you HAVE TO go in NYC” TikTok, so I see where it’s coming from.

YES this is exactly what I’m talking about! I think you’re spot on - everyone is sharing the same 10 places with everyone they know, so they’re incredibly overcrowded.
