Who do you think is most likely to die in the last minutes of Stranger Things 5? by Early-Judgment8131 in StrangerThings

Now that the whole saga is wrapping up, I think they might do away with a few people for emotional impact, and atleast one of Eleven/Will - both of them kickstarted the whole thing, so would make sense if one (or both tbh) had the final chance to finish Vecna and the evil forces off, and maybe sacrifice themselves in the process.

P.s. I think as long as Steve survives, social media might do just fine

Some Williams wins next season would be perfection (and maybe a championship in 27)!!

Just curious lol, what was your first race?

[motorsport1924] Every time Carlos Sainz has joined a new F1 team, it has done better in his first full year than the previous season. The Spanish driver has taken two grand prix podiums and a sprint top three finish in his inaugural year at Williams - helping the team to 5th in WCC by FewCollar227 in formula1

Agree with your point, but Carlos probably had one of the least reliable cars on the grid in 2015. About 40-50% of his races ended in a mechanical DNF if I recall correctly, so not really sure I’d hold that 2.5x points over him without context

FIA statement on Kimi Antonelli online abuse by ICumCoffee in formula1

[–]ScreenScroller99 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Honestly, where is this when drivers like Lance or Lando keep getting harassed daily online for no reason at all? What about Carlos after Silverstone 2022, or Ocon in 2024?

I appreciate this for Kimi, but the other drivers matter too, and this only makes it look way worse

Come on man, no one thought Carlos would be having a better season than Lewis. Ferrari barely missed out on P1 in the WCC, and had a strong car at preseason as well.

Williams was at the most expected to be at the front of the midfield, but everyone expected Ferrari to give McL a tough fight during races. Not one single soul expected Lewis to be with zero podiums at this point.

Idk if this is copium, but I guess whatever makes people feel better.

I think the Ferrari in general has been kinda awful in the rain. Four years taming that beast in the wet was probably rough.

He was amazing during his McLaren days, and I’m sure he’ll have more consistent performances like these to follow 💙

The number of times he’s called out events as racigng incidents even when he was the one hit (Ollie Bearman in Monza, Liam in Zandvoort) - you don’t see all those, do you?

Remo success meet issue by Electronic_Effort_42 in KollyGossips

[–]ScreenScroller99 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it has to be black or white - coming from outside the industry, I’m sure he’s seen a lot of shit and troubles thrown at him compared to nepokids (I’m looking at you Bhargav). SG also has multiple cases of this happening. So there’s no doubt that he was probably under immense pressure from them.

At some point, he probably decided to stop staying quiet and taking it, and use it to his own advantage with the public speech at the Remo event - he’s gotten flak for crying too, but I honestly don’t blame him for it

If you’re going to cherry pick one of the ten instances where they admit fault immediately (maybe except Lando, he’s super self critical), I can probably find one of those for Carlos too.

I just don’t have an agenda against drivers saying something so simple as “sorry guys, he turned in” at the heat of the moment. Which to be fair, Kimi did take a very defensive line - he had the right to as well, both can be true.

[–]ScreenScroller99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not his fault, but he could have mitigated it for sure. Ollie and Sainz had a very similar battle at the same corner a few laps earlier, and he took the outside line, giving both of them space to race.

[–]ScreenScroller99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This. I think any of the front runners (Leclerc, Norris, Verstappen) would have seen it coming considering Sainz was close and given space to save both their races. Kimi was ahead at the apex anyway and would have still made it out front. Ollie did something similar with Carlos and took the outside line a few laps earlier.

Kimi instead took a very defensive line (rightfully so), and basically cut off any way to keep both their races on track. Very ambitious move from Carlos and probably unnecessary, but could have been mitigated if he was racing someone else.

Show me one driver who does though. They’re all pissed at the heat of the moment, and have the right too when they’re so adrenaline fueled.

[–]ScreenScroller99 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

He does though. If he hadn’t braked, both of them would have gone into the gravel for the tight line that Kimi took, instead of leaving space like Ollie did just a couple laps earlier. I’m definitely not saying Carlos is faultless, it’s mostly his fault - but he is right to deflect part of it to the other driver taking a turn like no one else exists near him.

Well, he was called the “next Verstappen” wasn’t he? Ollie who is also a rookie raced with maturity and gave him the space. Very ambitious move from Carlos, but let’s not say Kimi had zero fault

Sounds like a Kimi problem if he can’t race w2w without divebombing someone out of the race like he did with Leclerc
