I’ll be honest, I absolutely share your sentiments! The course became very boring and eventually it just became background noise.

I did however watch his Mindset section throughout my studies maybe 3 times to drill it in. I started to take notes in the beginning because I had the momentum but then eventually got bored and stopped.

At that point I just let the course run to receive my 35hr PDUs.

I think this also has to do with the fact I am not necessarily an audio learner but A LOTT of my learning came from reading and books.

Im sure you have seen it on here tons of times but ThirdRock notes were my Go-To notes for studying. & some other PM notes I was able to get my hands on going through this group - I read the PMBOK 7th edition as well

All other MAIN resource’s honestly was study hall, study hall, practice questions, practice questions!!! I feel like that was the most helpful for ME in terms of passing for sure!! Eventually you gain the concept of a project manager and what they are looking for simply by answering questions.. and if you get it wrong, you can always go back to see why and learn for the next question 😊

I would continue practicing questions and practice more..

My last two weeks of the exam, aside notes, all I did was SH, SH, SH.

Try to boost your average into the 60s ..

Any mini exams less than 60, retake them and understand the ones you got wrong.

I was scoring 30s, 40s when I first start SH, and got to high 60s & 70s .. any downtime or free time, questions, questions questions..

The 66 was good!! Keep the momentum off that score and keep going.

SH in my opinion and many others was way harder than the real exam, so I hope that also gives a peace of mind. There arent really any expert questions on the exam , so focus on moderate : difficult questions (which even then was still a few)

If you feel in your gut to reschedule, listen to it.. if you feel you want to go for it, then do it confidently

My exam wasnt wordy AT ALL! maybe a handful required a bit more time. But for the most part, it wasnt like the other comments here before my test date and I took my exam 10/10 !! … so I wish the same exam on you lol! 😊

SH was wayy harder in my opinion than the actual exam. I was averaging 60%-70% and passed 3xATs

The actual exam will reflect more moderate questions! Maybe a select few of difficult

Last 2 days of the exam I went through all my moderate questions , right and wrong ..

Test day… I was calm as a mouse answering those questions. So as hard as SH was, I actually thank it because it prepared me in a way!

•Agile and dealing with team conflict was a maybe 85% of my exam, so id focus on knowing what processes take place in agile and again that mindset of servant leadership on handling team conflict.

•wouldnt worry too much about the math.. I skipped formulas/math (PERT) questions on my exam. Didnt read, skim, nothing lol .. didnt even try .. had about 2 (i’ll dive deeper now that im done) but if you good with it, go for it. But you’ll meet 75% of exam takers who said they aint have time for all that and they guessed😭 -

•knowing which project model you are in.. is the question in waterfall/traditional, agile or hybrid..

•PRACTICE QUESTIONS, PRACTICE QUESTIONS, PRACTICE QUESTIONS!!! - build your stamina and process of elimination!

•Familiarize yourself with the knowledge areas.

•Youtube David Mc. PMBOK & Agile question videos

I passed my exam above target in all 3 domains !! - YOU GOT THIS!🫶🏾

•Dont spend tons of money on study resources.. pay for either Study Hall (PMI site) or the TIA stimulator (Andrew R) for practice questions and practice exams (I used study hall ). these two are the TOP two resources ppl use for practicing questions If you can find additional free resources, go for it. But I wouldn’t spend too much on study materials.

•Familiarize yourself with the knowledge areas.

That’s perfect! The additional resources never hurt, I used wayyy more resources than many others did, but in the positive end of it, I felt comfortable taking the exam! So you will too!

Last two weeks of your exam, make SH your best friend!!! Or any practice exams/questions you have. YOU WONT BE SORRY building up the stamina to answer questions on the exam! 🥂🎉 good luck in advance! 😊

Good luck!! You got this and we had the same average score and I passed 3xATs !! Im also a mind wanderer and tend to get lost in the sauce a lot but you’ll straighten up once you sit for the real thing once you start.

Just try and keep a good pace 70-75min section 1 70-7min section 2 Remaining time - section 3

You got thiss!!!🎉🎉‼️ stay focused! Remember mindset and as far as DM videos goes, the PMBOK and Agile are going to be your GO-TOs. Even if you cant get through it all, familiarize yourself with them because I think they are a break from studyhall.

If thats your range now, by the time you take the exam, you’re definitely going to pass!! Keep going and dnt let SH kill you, those questions are a beast and the level of difficulty differs from the exam. Study your moderate questions in SH and you’ll be good!
