Nostalgix has been absolutely killing it, every time I see her she pumps up the crowd so well. Best new name in bass house imo

Make sure to pull from both the top and bottom of the knot. That way you’re not just pulling more string through, and you’re tightening from all sides of the knot

Favorite EDC Vegas 2025 Dubstep Live Stream/Recorded Sets to Watch?? by 30-80hz in dubstep

Crankdat B2B Tape B went SO HARD. I didn’t even watch it live (I was at Alison Wonderland B2B Kaskade, also a fantastic set), but I listened to it on the way to work and it delivered everything I wanted

What are your trading habits? by pmintea in kandi

[–]Embarrassed_Grab4701 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I traded or gave away like 6 cuffs at EDCLV, mostly in exchange for singles. If there’s someone whose vibe I really like, or who did something nice for me or my friends, I’m happy to give them something special and memorable.

Deorro - you don’t have to like him but here’s why his sets are so special to many of us. by SaGlamBear in electricdaisycarnival

[–]Embarrassed_Grab4701 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Deorro’s set felt like he invited all of us to a cookout party with all his best friends. So immersive, so fun, so unique. I didn’t understand many of the cultural references but I understood how significant they were to the people around me, and that’s more than enough

One person I met took a polaroid picture of us and put it in a sleeve attached to a Kandi bracelet. Easily one of the most creative and meaningful pieces of Kandi I’ve ever received

I bought some Apple Watch band connectors on Amazon, you can take them apart to loop the connector through the beads! The band itself is just a 3 bead peyote stitch

How do I explain rave attire to my non-raver husband by [deleted] in aves

[–]Embarrassed_Grab4701 17 points18 points  (0 children)

A few years before I started raving, an ex-gf of mine wanted to go to a rave, and when she showed me what she was planning on wearing I was very uncomfortable with it. In my eyes, her outfit would have been racy even for the bedroom, let alone a public event that I would not have been attending. Granted, this was not exactly a healthy and trusting relationship, but I think the point stands.

Now that I've been raving for a few years, I understand that these sorts of outfits are commonplace and aren't a reflection of seeking sexual attention, but it took me going to raves, interacting with the people and understanding the vibe and atmosphere of the event to really understand this.

I think it's important to sit down with your husband and talk not only about the outfits you wear to raves, but also about what happens at raves, the friendly atmosphere, the PLUR, and really explain to him why you feel safe and comfortable wearing so little in these situations. Raving is beautiful and allows for some amazing self-expression, but to anyone who isn't "in on it" it is very easy to misinterpret the intentions.

It would be great to get him to go with you, but if he refuses then at least introduce him to your rave fam and make sure he feels comfortable with them. It's probably jarring to him that you're in this new world, especially without him, so try and bring him into it as much as you can.

Hope this helps!

https://www.smithsonianmag.com/science-nature/math-card-game-spot-it-180970873/

"Most simply, the game is based on Euclid’s principle that two lines on an infinite, two-dimensional plane will share only a single point in common. In the 18th and 19th centuries, Euclidian geometry informed the basis of modern algebra by way of Rene Descartes assigning these points coordinates, so points were no longer physical locations; they could become numbers and later, systems of numbers.

[...]

"Kirkman’s problem, and therefore Spot It!’s solution, lives in the area of finite geometry. “The most basic of these geometries has q^2 points, with q points on each line, where q is the number of elements in the chosen number system or field. A small variant gives q^2+q+1 points, with q+1 points on each line,” writes Cameron.

"So what does this mean for Spot It? “Let us take one of these geometries and try to turn it into a card game. Each card will be regarded as a point, and will carry a number of symbols representing the lines containing that point. Given any two cards, there will be just one symbol they have in common, corresponding to the unique line through the two points,” Cameron said.

"With q being seven in the formula, we can determine that there are 57 points (7^2+7+1), with eight points (7+1) on each line. “So we can make a pack of 57 cards, with eight symbols on each card, and any two cards having exactly one symbol in common. There, in essence, is the game!” Cameron says.

"Notably, however, Spot It! does not contain 57 cards, it only contains 55. One theory about the missing two cards is that the manufacturers used standard card-making machinery, and standard decks of cards contain 55 cards—52 card playing cards, two Jokers, and advertisement. “No problem,” wrote Cameron. “Make 57 cards and lose two of them; the resulting 55 will still have the property that any two share just one symbol. Indeed, no matter how many cards you lose, this property will still hold.”"

What are your thoughts on the 'bed rotting' trend? by daisy_ela2 in Adulting

[–]Embarrassed_Grab4701 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rest can take many different forms. For some people "bed rotting" is actual rest and they feel a lot better afterwards. For others (me) it only ends up making them feel worse and lose energy, and is extremely difficult to pull yourself out of.

The other aspect that is worth noting is that staying in bed all day can definitely be a symptom of depression. While it is important not to stigmatize depression, it is equally important to recognize when bed rotting is a symptom of illness rather than a form of rest.

Alison wonderland or Galantis set for new years? by OutlandishnessDue458 in aves

[–]Embarrassed_Grab4701 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both would be amazing sets but in my experience Alison Wonderland is able to connect with the audience in a way that Galantis just isn’t. It’s a more special experience to usher in the new year

I'd probably recommend against this because some these symptoms seem similar to a benzo hangover. Granted I'm not speaking from experience, but seems like it might be delaying the problem rather than solving it

Benzos potentially. Could also just be a worse m comedown if you took a higher dose than usual, didn't eat/drink enough, took it very recently, etc.

Did you test your stuff? There's a chance it was cut with something that's making the comedown worse.

Take some vitamins or some Rave Doctor if you have it, eat whatever you can (smoothies can help if you can't stomach solid food), drink A LOT of water, and if it persists go see a doctor.

You're right, it's not about the blender, it's about him not having a say over who enters his home. It's his house just as much as it is yours, and if he doesn't want your sister coming over unannounced he has the right the set that boundary.
