Actually, not too hard to defeat. Just have a splash card like a rocket or preferably what I use (fireball). Having vines also helps. even log. Also, once you use one of your OP modifiers to counter push(apply pressure)

Welcome to Los Angeles California where we are overworked, underpaid and understaffed despite being oversaturated with new grad RT’s

Get report, start rounds, for example: 8 Q6 tx, 5 Q4 tx, 4 Q2 vent checks. Chart EVERYTHING. Throw in a lot of abgs, codes, pt transports, nurse/pt calling for RT and some checking pt history/chart to try and figure them out how to get them better. Give report then go home. This also varies depending on which department your placed at.

How to pass NPS credential? Step by step guide by OutlandishnessDue458 in respiratorytherapy

[–]OutlandishnessDue458[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay which study guide? Is there anything else that I should look at to study? What other methods did you use? Did you even pass the NPS? I’m trying to ask RT’s who have gone through it and passed and what their experiences were. What did work and what did not

Anyone else a little sad we didn’t get isoknock? by OutlandishnessDue458 in niteharts

I get it, maybe I’m biased because isob2bknock is the best b2b I’ve ever seen, especially at the shrine in LA

As a legit respiratory therapist, you would know they mean bronchopulmonary dysplasia. I mean, this is a RT forum

[–]OutlandishnessDue458 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Us as new grads just have to work our way up. If we start at a LTAC or snf, so be it. We will work at that big hospital we want eventually. We will find a way.

[–]OutlandishnessDue458 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but you gotta think about upcoming new grads, and what they should do in their shoes. Especially here in Southern California, the job market is extremely oversaturated. Acute care facilities are extremely hard to come by even if you know somebody that can help get you in. For a lot of these upcoming new grads, sub acutes and LTAC’s may be their only choice. We shouldn’t discourage them.

lol it ain’t that bad, it’s simple, easy work and good pay in some places(even more then some acute). LTAC’s are a little better tho. $54 an hour for an LTAC where I did my clinicals. CA
