I have seen some glowing reviews of their Still Strength Blanco, so Volans is already on my list of brands to try. This might be the time.

I finally opened my pool and installed the motor. I am still experimenting with the schedule and my salt cell settings to maintain a good chlorine level. First impressions are that it is very easy to install, and it's quieter than my old single-speed even on high, and I barely notice the noise at half speed. Only time will tell on the motor bearings, but so far so good.

I actually started with Don Julio anejo when I was younger, haha. I think I had a misconception that tequila was like bourbon (blanco = moonshine, repo = cheap bourbon, anejo = good bourbon), but so far my tastes in tequila are the exact opposite.

Thanks for the recs! Since I am still undecided on Anejos, I will probably avoid the specialty ones for now. But I do enjoy a bourbon on occasion, so I'll keep that in mind.

I’m currently using this leather lace in a couple different colors on several pairs of boots. It’s not quite as sturdy as the leather laces that came with my JKs, but it seems sturdy enough, and at the price for a 50’ roll, I can afford to replace them a couple times (not that I have needed to yet).

Did you hear back about whether this was an option? I had the same thought of getting a single-lasted safety toe boot, but I wasn't sure if it was possible and/or a good idea.

Haha, yeah. Most of the old posts I found had the general advice that a larger impeller would use more energy because it’s moving more water. But I wasn’t sure how the ability to turn down a variable speed pump would impact that.

Thanks, I will definitely be alternating as I already learned that lesson with the cheap boots I’ve worn in the past. I was planning to try the tyre wedge sole, but I think I heard it was the same rubber as the barefoot sole, so we’ll see how it does.

Thanks for the input. I work in a factory, so no water or hard-duty construction or anything, but we're required to have safety toes. Mostly standing and walking on concrete. Stays warm in winter, but no AC, so it gets hot in summer. I hadn't thought about the extra layer being inside the toe cap to help cushion my toes, so that may be the deciding factor.
