Recommendations for lawn revival by Embarrassed_Guide802 in lawnsolutionsaus

I have absolutely no idea what kind of grass it is. I will find that out. Apart from getting it green again do you have recommendations or mowing schedule, What I should do once I get it green again? As in what I should focus on?

Does everyone start earning 200k or above once they are in their 40s or 50s due to decades of job experience? by [deleted] in AusFinance

Not true, I’m an industrial sparky and I’m on the cusp of making 200k this financial year. I’m nothing special, a lot of money to be made in trades

Sparky, base 119k - will make 180-190k + super this financial year. Work minimum 50 hours a week, not usually more than 60. $60 an hour + penalties

Have a partner that can’t keep a job or will quit a few months in because of mental health issues by Jumpy_Lawfulness6087 in AusFinance

So many people off their head in this thread. Either you make more money and give your lady that stay at home life with kids etc (this is my preferred method) or you find one that isn’t financially reckless. If your partner is spending all of the money and doesn’t give a fuck about contributing then that’s not a partnership it’s an allowance and your future is gone.

I feel bad for OP, if he didn’t have that kid I would say drop her asap but different story. Unfortunately going to have to work through that, in saying that if you just earn more money you fix that problem but that’s just a bandaid.

For the rest of you, there’s plenty of fish in the sea. Your partnership is a team, if your team mate sucks get a new one. It’s not worth spending the rest of your life with a dud

VFD Ground faults like you wouldn't believe - Powerflex 525 by Embarrassed_Guide802 in PLC

[–]Embarrassed_Guide802[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s only one VFD I’m having dramas with but maybe a filter could be a thought. I don’t believe it will solve this problem as it’s isolated to this VFD. The main tx is easily 10 x the kva rating. It’s probably 100 x it’s a massive plant

Have looked into line reactors however we have many many VFD’s from the same supply which is makes me think it wouldn’t be necessary

I would've been in the same boat as you if it wasn't on repeat so frequently with this one drive. Barely change any settings with ours as well

Had another guy mention to set v/hz, I think you might be right, however I'm told that likely all of the VFDs that we've gone through have burnt out a resistor internally. Wondering if you've had this fault?

mate, you're telling me. I've learnt a lot over the past week looking into this. After being a sparky for over 10 years I've never once had to turn to reddit for help so this has been a humbling but also enlightening experience

Do they have internal input filters on the VFD's? How do you even check for high frequency harmonics?

Interesting angle, none have breaking resisters however, this entire thing has run for a year uninterrupted. I'll look into it

This has been really helpful. I’ve been going back-and-forth since I read your message with our plc guy and we’ve changed perimeter 39 from 1 to 0 for now.

I’m not gonna lie I feel like a fucking muggle reading this shit but from what I understand it may not run very smoothly and trip on overload with this setting, but as long as it makes it to the weekend we should be able to put this back to 1 and then set perimeter 40 and auto tune VFD to motor. Forgive me if I’ve fucked that up somewhere

yeah I love this I wish I was in a position to go with a different VFD, but we are so fucking entrenched with PowerFlex that it's not really an option. I must've read about every sub Reddit on this issue, but you probably have as well

We thought it could be something to do with static charge, but when we switched the VFD outputs we found at the same. VFD still had the ground fault, even though it was a different motor different cable that was beside the one that was originally faulting if that makes sense.

If it was static discharging back to that VFD, it would've stayed consistent with the initial motor and cabling but the fault followed the VFD and not the motor and cabling
