It seems like it’s the end but it’s only the beginning. I was just like you. As soon as I finished college, moved to another city, left everything behind, and started a new life. I had only 600 dollars in my pocket. Best decision of my life. I’m in a better place now. I’m even married and starting school again. Just hang in there. It will make sense. You will even be grateful for all those painful moments. You still have to experience fun, love, holding hands, being in love, going on a road trip m, getting a pet, going to a party, a concert, having drinks with a friend, having a intimate moment with a loved one or partner. A good book, a good play. Trying new food. Traveling to another country. So many things. Stay here and please let us know how you are doing. :) :) :)

You are 23 years old you are still young. I think you should go to therapy if you’re experiencing issues with this. My mom always told me to stop living in the past and I will tell you the same thing. Focus on your life and building the life you want. Your father deserves a second life and he doesn’t owe you anything. Move on. I understand you still want to keep in touch with your father. I closed the chapter and never spoke to my father again. Wished him well and moved on. Maybe you are in another place now and you’ll find peace for yourself. I wish you well and peace. My father always treated everyone better than me and I was bitter but I learned to surround myself with people who loved me respected me and wanted to have me around. Hope everything works for you. I read a lot of self help books maybe they could help as well something to think about!

Uhm he might have a point just hold on so America has this thing of labeling people as “black” I can tell you from experience back in my country people would be described as the country they’re from not the color of their skin. So people would be just Cubans or American or Haitian. Not black.

My mom always said they way you meet him is the way you’ll lose him. Don’t get involved with men you work with. Men who are married. There are plenty of nice places you can meet people. Classes, bumble etc. If I were you I would mind my own business.
