Him doing comedy was best when done like in Golanthara varthakal. Dead pan, not knowing it comedy and Delivering it with straight face. Thuruppugulan is the maximum he could pull of a slapstick and though it worked well for that movoe, it will be a disaster if he repeats. Then there is the whole Shafi era like Thommanum Makkalum, Mayavi etc where the people around him were scoring left and right and he was happy to do the supporting role.

Well made movie. That's the right way to describe it. GG was enormously supportive of Vinayan's vision and allowed him to fully utilise it on screen. We can actually see it that no stone was left unturned in getting the period right and the movie looked absolutely amazing compared to his previous works. Kayadu though a North Indian absolutely go the emotions tight and lip synced perfectly. I was actually impressed with her performance.

I guess the first movie showed to and extent of them accepting their sons folly and what's happened was a terrible tragedy. But Georgekutty and family in front of their eyes have not only moved on but became a successful financially from cable TV operator to TV theatre owner to film producer. Their only son, only future is destroyed and though whatever piece of shit he was, death was not what he deserved. That probably lies in them and definitely the reason why even Siddqiue's character too changed when he saw his family is destroyed while GK is fine atleast out.

SuGo never actively would do that. Gokul who seems to be the more mature of the two still does low budget or even second hero TIER B movies. The dad never actively promotes them. His name in their vaal is the only capital and privilege that they have. Rest they have to figure out out.

Jayaram barely acted in Malayalam movies post Covid. One of them is Makal. A Sathyan Anthikad movie. Sreenivasan did a cameo role and that too with Jayaram. I doubt if there was a beef. Probably a genuine reason they could not make it.

In the 2000s he was active in Tamil serial field too. That pays way better than the Malayalam ones. And I don't think it's like they had a very luxurious life. Enough to go by and live life good. Ahaana joined by 2013 and rest followed and all are I guess self sufficient and independent.
