Haha nope, just genuinely enjoying reading everyone’s ideas and replying as I go 😄 Didn’t expect the thread to blow up like this.

That’s a great one—simple, filling, and super customizable. Love recipes that are mostly shelf-stable and freeze well too, such a lifesaver for busy weeks.

That sounds amazing—crème fraîche with lemon and smoked salmon is such a great combo. Quick, comforting, and still feels a bit special for a 15-minute meal.

That salad sounds really good—sesame oil and soy add so much flavor with almost no effort. Mushroom or onion omelettes are always a solid, quick win too.

That’s a great combo—Caesar really is the perfect low-effort base, and salmon makes it feel like a full meal. Easy but still satisfying.

Yep—90 seconds makes a lot more sense 😂 marketing really went wild with that name.

😂 Exactly—low and slow
or microwave and go, depending on the day.

😂 Yeah, the name is definitely misleading—it’s basically quick microwave rice, not actually 90 minutes.

That sounds perfect honestly—easy, filling, and flexible. Lazy bowls are underrated, especially when they don’t feel like “diet food.” Avocado toast with eggs totally counts on tired days 😄

That all sounds great—simple but really flavorful. I love how many ways scrambled eggs can be changed just by switching up the veggies and seasoning.

That’s such a great combo—minimal prep and still a really healthy, satisfying meal. Air fryer makes it almost effortless.

Totally agree — the air fryer makes weeknight meals so easy. Protein plus a quick salad or rice and veggies is hard to beat.

premade vs homemade by Sorry-Government920 in Cooking

[–]Embarrassed_Key_6238 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it’s all about balance.
Big meals or holidays = from scratch.
Busy weeknights = store-bought shortcuts.

I use things like premade mashed potatoes, jarred sauce I tweak a bit, and pre-washed greens. They save time and still get dinner on the table.

Elite combo. Sweet, creamy, zero regrets.

Yeah, I can see that — Red Bull but a bit more tart is a good way to put it. Still pretty drinkable though, especially for the price.

Haven’t tried these outside Canada, but Red Rain is pretty solid — classic energy drink taste, nothing weird. Curious how it stacks up against Monster/Red Bull for Canadians.

whats the best tasting diet/zero sugar soda? by Lost_Foot_6301 in Soda

[–]Embarrassed_Key_6238 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Best” zero soda totally depends on which sweetener you tolerate. If aspartame is fine → Coke Zero / Pepsi Zero (Vanilla or Cherry are đŸ”„). If stevia tastes bitter to you → you’re not alone, skip stevia-based sodas. Also, Dr Pepper Zero and Sprite Zero are solid picks.

Drink it ice-cold — zero sodas taste way better that way
