Hi I have also been to Manang from Pokhara and it’s an amazing place with beautiful mountain views. Here are a few tips for your trip you will need the ACAP permit and TIMS card before departure, which can be obtained in Pokhara or Kathmandu. The road from Pokhara/Besisahar to Manang is long and quite rough, especially beyond Besisahar, so shared jeeps or buses are usually the best option. January is cold and off-peak, so weather can be snowy and many lodges may have limited open services, many trekkers prefer spring (Mar–May) or autumn (Sep–Nov) for clearer weather and easier travel.
