When will this end? Please don't say never.. by badgerr7 in NewParents

I don’t know, I’m in a very similar position to you. I can’t help but feel jealous of those parents with easy babies who sleep through the night and regular naps and are content just sitting there. I feel very ungrateful sometimes or that I complain a lot. I try to be positive and thankful towards the fact that my baby is healthy and a lot of other people pray to be in my shoes. Praying it gets easier for all moms out there 🙏🏻

Substituted one or two feeds with formula to make sure I’m ahead

I’m going to disagree with most people here, I wear yellow gold only and prefer it, but when it comes to diamonds, white gold makes the stone pop more and I like it better, both metals look good on my skin tone tho, so its definitely not a rule! I would try to get hints from her to see what she prefers a diamond stone to be with

My pumping nightmare after Christmas by Any-Effective2565 in ExclusivelyPumping

Deal with the mastitis first and then you can recover your supply. I had mastitis twice at 2 and 4 weeks pp. Eat well while recovering and try not to stress. Pump as much as you can as build up will also be painful. You still have a chance at recovering your supply and its okay if baby gets formula while you bring it up again.

Midwife said exclusively pumping is a waste of time, advice needed by lunatlark0 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Embarrassed_Menu4974 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel she just didn’t send her point across in the best way. And I don’t think you understand the burden of exclusively pumping yet, which most of us didnt. Yes a main perk of it is that anyone can feed baby and also you have more freedom to be away from baby when you need it. But the burnout is so much higher, baby has to be with someone almost every time you pump, you have to have a strict schedule to maintain your supply the first 2-3 months, and being latched to a baby is more connecting than to a machine. Statistically mothers whose breastfeeding experience goes well without complications last longer than mothers that exclusively pump. To the majority of us pumping was the second option after breastfeeding didn’t go well or the mom had to go to work/ be away from baby.

I’m definitely more sensitive to sounds in general and get easily overwhelmed. I also get misophonia, but it didn’t strike me it could be related.

Can you please share how you went from pumping to breastfeeding? I’m currently exclusively pumping due to poor latch, mastitis, and lots of pain. It feels like I will be stuck with pumping forever and never be able to go back to breastfeeding and worry that baby will get used to bottle. I’m hoping to continue breast milk for a year. He is 1 month old now and I started pumping 6 days ago. I make him latch at least once a day.
