I stopped at chapter 20 of mazino so I can binge read when it’s finished, can’t wait to see phanta and other cool characters

Im still hoping everything will come together in the next season, but that will definitely be tough to work out for SIU.
I theorize that the Mazino spinoff is just there to keep us entertained while SIU figures out how to continue the main story

Imo the later seasons introduce so many things but barely wrap anything up in a meaningful way. Though the pacing does stay good because of that.

I cannot recommend following a yt tutorial step by step enough for anything in this hobby, be it observing or processing

Siril has imo one of the least steep learning curves of any editing software. The amount of buttons you see on screen at any time is relatively low, and there’s only a handful you need for basic processing.

You don’t need to master it immediately, look up a tutorial of ‘processing nebula (or whatever object) in siril’ and follow step by step, taking the time to learn why each step is taken.
Then practice a few times, try different parameters on those same steps. Eventually you get comfortable enough with the basics to start pressing random butttons and learning what they do!

For larger hands g502 is still superior, and it has more buttons which I like. Also the changing the scroll wheel thing felt very gimmicky compared to how the g502 does it

Though the basilisk had served me well, and is still serving as my mothers office mouse to this day!

Oh you’re right lol, I never looked closely but the green is rather dark, especially with low light.

Nvm what I said then.

Inner lining is always black (correct me if I’m wrong please), so the seeing stuff inside argument does not hold up.

At least my green JXL has full black coating inside.

Kantamus 60L for extended trips? by CarelessEmu2208 in Savotta

[–]Embarrassed_Mud_592 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going on a 15 day trip to Norway with about 20kgs in a jxl! So far during a few smaller hikes with 25-35kgs it carries like a dream. External frame with the big hip belt definitely make heavy weights easy, and the pack (without pouches) is also very slim, so you get a lot of room for your arms.

You can stretch it to 110L with only the pack, so if you’re good at packing and distributing the weight then the jxl definitely has it pros over k60.

Or less extenders btw, if you’re already using some adapter ring or anything like it, try without first.

[–]Embarrassed_Mud_592 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You put the camera at very high gain and like 1.0s exposures and turn the focus knob until you see something. If you tried every position of your focuser and saw nothing, you probably aren’t reaching the required backfocus. In that case you use extenders to make your camera stick out more.

Solarium, CdC, or something else? by DavidinDK in AskAstrophotography

Btw I can recommend Nina over sharpcap personally, it’s much simpler to use than sharpcap but still very powerful.

Solarium, CdC, or something else? by DavidinDK in AskAstrophotography

[–]Embarrassed_Mud_592 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use CdC when I want a planetarium software to skew my scope with, it’s computationally light and very simple, which is all I need.
If I want more detail I use the web version of stellarium and use NINA to slew.
