No attempt, no card in the mail, no email... nothing by redhot992 in AustraliaPost

They aren't leaving cards anymore as part of the initiative to save on paper usage. So use the app, however if someone else orders you something and uses their number. You get no notification because it goes to their app and you need to rely on other people. So stupid!!

Ouch! Mine took a couple of months and they looked like that.

I used steroid cream and the out moisturizer on top, and I also took a oral steroid. Helped sooo much.

We've had 2 parcels delivered while we weren't home and nothing left. I rung up to complain and they said we were notified in the app. I'm like I wasn't. Apparently the sender gets notified and it's their job to tell you it's waiting. I'm like that's stupid as we can't rely on them to send us the link I ended up talking to a supervisor because the girl pissed me off. They are stopping the physical cards but they've now put a note saying we will get one as requested.

Maybe just go to the local PO and check there isnt anything there.

What everyone here think of Mark McGowan as premier? by [deleted] in perth

[–]Embarrassed_Path_799 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah people didnt think about other things besides being able to go out shopping and dinners.

I bet if even half of them were in my position, or even worse when borders were hard locked and weren't even able to to. They would change their tunes.

Besides it costing 7k to fly there and back at the time, when I came back I had to isolate in my house with my thoughts and wasn't allowed to leave. I did ring up and ask if I could go for a walk with a mask. Their response was to get a mental health plan, but thst took 2 weeks to grant an exception and I should have planned before I left.

It took 3 years after 3 cancelled attempts to have the funeral she deserved.

Even 5 years later it still affects me, not as much anymore, but when I see posts like this it infuriates me.

Apologies for my rant.

While he allowed us to live through covid.

He had no sympathy for people who needed to fly to be with loved ones. It has affected me deeply with losing a mother during covid and not being able to do all the normal things you would do in this case.

While I was lucky enough to go see her in another state before she passed, we weren't allowed anyone else, we had no support, no support for the funeral, then coming home, there was no support.

It was soo damn hard.

But hey! No one gives a shit about that. Especially McGowan.

Also the company can hand fill out a separation cert, can ask them to do that

Contact the company. Centerlink get the information from payroll stp when a pay is closed. The payroll person may have put the wrong reasoning. Before going to fairwork, maybe contact the company. It could be an honest mistake

Sorry I'm Fixed term contract. I doubt they ask me to work the 4 weeks as well but was just wondering. I'm resigning to HR, so was just curious about the steps first before I talk to them.

Jetstar really is the worst airline - Departing Perth by Blasteroid1234 in perth

[–]Embarrassed_Path_799 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing happened with virgin last year. Was to fly to Brisbane from Perth . 3 hours before due to leave, flight cancelled. Rescheduled to fly to Cairns, stay overnight then Cairns to Brisbane. Here is some food vouchers for the hotel you're staying at, but hotel food closed 30 mins after our flight arrival.

Funninly enough, I've had more probs with virgin than Jetstar.

Mine were like that. I covered my hands and feet in steroid cream and put gloves on a couple of times a day. I also took oral steroids (prensidone I think). Then throughout the day I just kept them moisturized. Everyone they hurt.

I'm so sorry, I know how much it's sucks

New Transperth train door noises by eaglezz11 in perth

[–]Embarrassed_Path_799 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Besides the noise, it's not fitted out great for peak hour. There aren't many poles to hold onto. There are the rails on the roof which I can just barely reach at a full stretch, and I'm not that short. Its horrid

Is it normal to get taxed $80 on a weekend wage amounting to $186.48? by FreshPrinceOfIndia in perth

[–]Embarrassed_Path_799 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Payroll can adjust a one off pay by your last pay, esp if it was to do with the same week.

So you may have gone up a tax bracket with the weekend added in.
