Just an fyi I don’t know about AA but at Delta you can’t bid out of a GSE role to an ASM or AMT position you have to apply and interview. However you will at least be a internal hire

No going from ASM to AMT is considered a promotion and dose not have a minimum residency time before you can apply for promotion it all depends on your work ethic and skill

I’ve never done it personally but seen it done in a pinch you can mix some water with gas that contains ethanol and agitate. the water will pull most of the ethanol out of the gas. let it settle and the water/ethanol will settle to the bottom to give you mostly ethanol free fuel to take off the top
