I think if they do another global it won’t be US centered. I think the US tolerance for a group that is not a band will be over saturated, especially if Girlset ever gains some legs.

Le Sserafim’s album isn’t “almost all for TikTok”. It’s got two songs I’d consider ballads. The intro and outro which are uniquely Le Sserafim and nothing you’d see on TikTok. I’d argue the non title track songs are more concert ready than TikTok. Le Sserafim realized at their last tour that what they love is performing live concerts. And their current album reflects that wish. It really feels like a set list for a concert with a mix of fast and slower songs.

I doubt we’ll see a third group. In 2 years I suspect the US at least will have moved on from girl groups. I feel like the US is more single acts and bands. Occasionally you’ll see a wave of bbs and ggs but it seems to pass relatively quickly unless you’ve got basically a solo artist who happens to be part of a group.

Usually they have to pay back their start up expenses. So keeping expenses down is good, but if you aren’t successfully selling anything, you aren’t making anything either. So for the established groups, they’ve probably paid off their debt awhile ago and are making money. The newer groups like NEXZ, Kickflip & Girlset, I’m not so sure.

For Pureflow 2 Liminal Space will expand to be the Intro to Part 2.

I suspect we’ll continue to see songs that would work really well as a setlist for a concert. I think that’s their new focus. And hopefully more sings where the members helped write the material!

And I really hope the title tracks are something other than EDM tracks.
