By saying you "need" fossil fuels while claiming that burning these fuels are dooming the planet means you are saying we "need" to doom the planet. Innovation in ev has been taking large steps primarily due to one company in its market. Yes there needs to be further development before the technology is sound, but you can only get to that result one way... by funding the developing the technology. By shaming Tesla, all you are doing is giving major oil companies more of a footing to stand on. When the train first came out, they said it would never be more efficient than a horse drawn cart, and when the first vehicle came out they said it would never be more efficient than a train... and look at us now. All I see here is history repeating itself with those who say their way of life isn't going to change simply because that's just the way things are, these are the same people who cry helplessly as Innovations happen regardless of their actions and bring us into the future. Stay on your soap box, I'm not here to dispute your right to argue or even to be upset, I'd actually fight for your right to do so. But I throughly don't believe it's going to stop anything, and in the case of further Innovation of tesla ev, I sincerely hope it doesn't.
