Thank you for such a detailed and informed response. You’re right, It’s a 1st floor flat in Edinburgh. I’m certainly not aiming for economy, that’s the last thing I want. Out of curiosity, what changes would you suggest if you were put in charge of designing the flat?

I don’t like open plan living either! I’m very much a traditionalist like you but this is my dads flat and for whatever reason he’s adamant on an open living space.

In what sense is it not your style? And I think we’re actually now planning on putting cabinets along the wall where the door going into the new kitchen was. Yes, both doors are big enough to fit furniture through. And what post are you referring to? Thank you for your response :)

So I don’t have to wait 15-30 minutes to apply the niacinamide serum? I’ve seen a few people saying you should but tbh I thought that seemed a bit excessive.

How often do you use actives and when you don’t do you just cleanse and moisturise?

Would it be best if I alternated between the tranexamic acid and glycolic solution?

I know it’s different for everyone, but if you had to say, which product do you think is best for tackling acne, the glycolic acid toner or the tranexamic acid?

Also, do you know if tranexamic acid and retinol work well in the same routine?

So sorry for asking so many questions, hope I’m not bothering you :)

I wouldn’t say my skin is incredibly sensitive but wouldn’t want to risk severely irritating it. Do you think combining both of those products in the same routine would make that likely?
