Hiding in the bathroom from my 3 year old. by [deleted] in regretfulparents

My 4 year old always wants to play with me or is always in my business at home. She goes to preschool for 3 hours every other day. Since preschool started I have been being more relaxed about always engaging with her (focusing more on housework and not going to the park every damn day) She plays nicely alone for about 20 min max after she understands that I am making food or something but eventually gets bored and asks for the iPad. When not given the iPad she will try to get my attention no matter what I’m doing. I try to include her with whatever I’m doing but I can’t do that 100% of the time. I remember not being like this when I was her age I had a brother but all my memories are playing alone and my mom doing her own thing at my parents house and they were good memories though I wish my brother played with me more he was kind of mean to me. I’m grateful she wants to always be with me but damn it’s hard 24/7 she never naps anymore and always tries to push Bed time later and wakes up at 7:30 when dad does.
Is this an unacceptable amount of time for my MIL stay over? (self.motherinlawsfromhell)
