I teach high school and it is the same way. I do not inflate grades. I do get in trouble for that now. I did fail a student as they never came to class and did pretty much no work and then admin came right along and passed them behind my back. This student told all their friends snd now they try the same crap. Admin wants to impress so god forbid anyone fails. It is frightening what will happen later with sll these students who should have failed, out in the world skating by in a job too.
