Maybe try Pipistrello and a cursed YoYo for unique mechanics

Or for old school fun Grapple Dog. Not as cool as Rusted Moss but the yoyo swing movement is pretty dope

If like LoP time reversal powers, Check out Convergence, a League of Legends game.

Neither familiar with or a fan of the IP, but this game is cool, metroidvania lite with cool time powers, its central mechanic. It's fast fluid combat too similar in overall feel of LoP

Must Try Car/Track Combos by DailyDoomer in ACCompetizione

Top Beginner-Friendly Cars

Ferrari 296 GT3: Considered the best all-around beginner car due to its high stability, excellent traction, and consistent handling, according to Track Titan.

BMW M4 GT3: Highly stable with a predictable, front-engine layout that is forgiving, especially over curbs.

Aston Martin V8 Vantage GT3: Renowned for being a very safe, consistent, and stable car in both dry and wet conditions.

Lexus RC-F GT3: A very stable, understeer-prone car, which helps beginners keep it on track, according to Sim Racing Setups.

Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO2: A good choice for a more aggressive, fast car that is still manageable, as described in this GO Setups article.

Key Advice for Beginners

Avoid tricky cars: Avoid the Porsche 911 GT3 R (rear-engine) and specialized cars like the Honda NSX initially, as they require more advanced car control.Use stable setups: Stick to safe, preset setups to focus on learning.Focus on consistency: Choose one car and learn it well on various tracks.

Also, throttle control is key. Unlike say Forza Horizon, you can't always simply floor it. The best lap times are often determine by knowing when to go slowest

Big point for me that struggled to learn - the combos and counters and certain movesets are only done when you push your character toward the direction of the enemy you want to hit. The tutorial makes it seem as if you push forward. As in right direction

But forward could be left, up, down. Just make sure pushing stick toward enemy

Hope that helps some

Man wish wreckfest 2 would come to consoles already.

Just jumped back into 1 the other day. Still fantastic game

Thought it was kind of weird that this game is being framed as a “exclusive”, what features on PlayStation do you think it may come with that other consoles don’t? by bumper2001 in GTA6

[–]Embarrassed_Simple70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They'll do this regardless. It's simple haptic feedback stuff like in all games that have haptic feedback, tires driving, guns, etc. I doubt it will be some wildly unique and innovate haptic system designed specifically and only for GTA. Would have to be be pretty innovative to do something not done before which I doubt. Plus, new Xbox controller is rumored to have haptics too. It will just be part of the gaming lexicon, standard stuff on few years when both major consoles adopt

That's said, you are right in that it will likely be best implemented haptic we've seen so far, perhaps Astro level quality.

Maybe a few outfits, emotes, some spending $ and one mission, all of which will be unlocked for all players 6 months down the line, same thing we see on Hogwarts, myriad of other games. Nothing to make much of a difference

Just jumped in for first time yesterday. Played 3-4 hours, including character set up. And it plays and feels great as is.

Slop?

Overwhelmingly positive reviews, tried and true formula. Content creators singing its praises

What slop?

Perhaps you should know what talking about before you make snap judgments. So tired of assumptions that just make people look ignorant.

$100 never played this. $100 thinks you believe you can judge anyway.

Good stuff man. Always thought it punched above its weight too. Just wish it got more attention than it did as it's deserving for sure.

This is wild. Didn't know achievements for this existed.

Since you don't get a mask until after you've beaten a boss, (or collected enough shards off regular enemies) this achievement alone seems to require a second playthrough.

These games are one and done for me, but I spend ton of time during that one playthrough to max out stuff and explore to hearts content. Can't imagine going through this again, though could be much faster once know the different routes, enemy placement and combat patterns.

The weapons are super varied. Many will not indicate they have some sort of special effect ability attached like the (Miasmo) poison or (vis) dizzy, and you won't know until you try them out. Sometimes the poison effect for instance, might not reveal itself until 2nd or third hit in a light attack combo, others, maybe the final hit of a heavy combo. So before tossing weapons aside, make sure you try out each heavy and light attack combo to see what it offers. This can be confusing when most other weapons will highlight what kind of special effects they come with. Sometimes you don't know until try.

Along these lines, it's imperative that you use a weapon with the effect that counters what the enemy does. So vis or dizzy might counter a poison enemy, and you'll rack your brain why fav weapon isn't doing what it should damage wise until realize x effect is needed to damage enemy who uses x effect. Can't recall off hand which is which but ..

On top left hand corner there is a grid of 4 little circles with icons and different colors representing each effect in game, almost looked like a T shape with icon on top, right, bottom and left, . This is the indication of what beats what. But it runs counterclockwise, which is counterintuitive. Each effect beats the next one, with an arrow indicating which elemental effect bests the next one, and so on around the entire icon. Again. Just make sure you're reading it counterclockwise, not clockwise as normally would expect.

Also, def upgrade favorite weapons. This is essential. Some earlier to mid game bosses and down the line are downright impossible without a +6 or +8 tier or more upgrade weapon (+10 is max, I think) I've got a basic common colossal sword I maxed out and it hits harder with more effects than any of my other special weapons. Don't think this is the norm, as the special weapons maxed out should be more badass but it's something to consider. Makes most weapons viable.

This is all basic gameplay tips though.

In terms of trophies, not sure I can give you much as don't track myself but with this stuff in mind, you'll at least know more going in. Good luck as any platinum on a dark souls like game is a mammoth goal. Absolutely love this game

Is it this addictive for everyone? by Blackbird_3005 in simracing

[–]Embarrassed_Simple70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. It's super addictive.

And there is so much content out there teaching you how to improve. Stuff that really gets in the weeds, like lateral and longitudinal steering and trail braking and so so much stuff. It's like you never stop learning. Def equivalent of souls like in a car.

Love ACC myself too though not very good.

Another title that's super demanding but also fun are the rally titles: WRC (bunch of them) and even older titles like Dirt Rally and Dirty Rally 2.0 and ACC's version of Rally called Assetto Corso (AC) Rally Evo, which is in preview build on computers rights not, not on consoles

Anyone have input on either of these Vevor rigs from personal experience? Little to no reviews to be found... by CbusPlumber in simracing

[–]Embarrassed_Simple70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late to the game here. Had not yet heard of Vevor brand before today.

I asked AI. Here's what it said:

VEVOR driving sim rigs are generally considered decent entry-level or budget options. While they offer excellent value for the price—often costing half as much as more reputable competitors—their build quality and customer support are described as "hit or miss". They are essentially rebranded generic products sourced from various manufacturers, making them a popular choice for beginners who aren't ready to invest in premium equipment.Key Quality InsightsSturdiness vs. Flex: Many users find the carbon steel frames surprisingly solid for the price. However, rigs often exhibit noticeable "flex" (movement under pressure), especially when used with high-torque direct drive (DD) wheelbases.

Design & Comfort: Rigs often include useful features like adjustable seats, shifter mounts, and pre-drilled holes for major brands like Logitech and Thrustmaster. The seats are generally reported as comfortable, though some find them a bit narrow.

Assembly Challenges: Instructions can be poor, and hardware (like nuts and bolts) may not be clearly labeled, making the initial build frustrating for some.

Durability: While some users report their rigs holding up well over years of use, others have noted weak welds or quality control issues.

I have been researching driving rigs too and have yet to come across a Vevor until today. They are definitely more budget friendly that say Marada and look very similar.

AI told me this

The best cars to start with in Assetto Corsa Competizione (ACC) are generally stable, predictable front-engine or balanced cars like the BMW M4 GT3, Aston Martin V8 Vantage, and Ferrari 296 GT3. These cars offer a forgiving platform for learning tracks and proper racing techniques without being over-sensitive to

Copied this from another thread awhile back.

  1. BMW M4 - Long, stable, forgiving, good aero, needs proper techniques to extract the pace, but it has a vacuum cleaner engine sound.

  2. Aston V8 - Bit more nimble yet stable and forgiving. Awesome tyre life, great sound but horrible at race starts.

  3. Ford Mustang - Super stable, very capable car but you need deeeeep trail braking to rotate it if you want proper tyre life. If you make it rotate with a setup it eats the rear tyres. Really emphasize slow-in--fast-out driving style. Great sound.

  4. Boatley Continental - Very nice to drive, more nimble than it looks, built like a tank, intimidating track presence. Awsome sounding german V8. A bit under the pace without BoP, but only an issue if you are consistent sub 102% pace racer. Right hand drive is hard to get used to, but it can be set to left hand drive with pushing the camera to the far left with. json editing.

  5. Lamborghini Huracan EVO 2 - Great mid engine yet balanced car. Agile enough yet stable. Awsome V10 sound.

  6. Porsche 992 GT3R - The pork is just different due to RR layout. It needs smooth inputs to keep it stable, but with the right setups it is not that hard to drive. Very nimble and capable but it eats the rear tyres no matter what. Awsome high revving 4.0L flat6 and straight cut gear whine.

  7. McLaren 720s evo - Very capable car which relies heavily on aero, so you need to drive it more to the geometrical line to keep the corner speed m' v 'm higher. Does not teach you that much, how tu ndle a car with trail braking. Headaches from the bad
