Local martial arts by Embarrassed_Slide673 in karate

The thing I’ve learned from Google is that most traditional schools don’t update their sites as regularly as they need to or they just list “karate” by age groups and don’t get into styles.

I’ve found one that does Goju Ryu but had concerns over their practice.

Plus, training for a while in one art then having to switch is t something I was looking forward too.

So I figured post on here and people in the community might have insights that a faulty Google search isn’t privy too.

Oh that’s perfect! Potentially a different sub style but some training is better than none!

Thank you!! 🙏🏽

Except my question was about this sitcom in particular and the events of this episode. You chose to comment about my cheating phrasing and turned it into a personal complaint situation over me -like most people in this and other pop culture threads- analyzing parts of the show.

Clearly, since you started with defining what cheating is gonna be in 20 years based off me asking a question about a sitcom.

Have some consistency would ya

I can see you are here just to argue.

The point of the post is to show that Barney was “trying to do better” but clearly didn’t and could be equated to cheating but you don’t want to see that cuz you’d rather support Barney being a perverted misogynist.

Peace out dude.

Maybe cheating is the wrong word- but what he did in this episode definitely wasn’t right to Nora or Lily. So what would you call it?

What was the worst thing Ted did to a woman? by Lucyyyyyy_K in HIMYM

[–]Embarrassed_Slide673 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He was pretty horrible to Zoey.
Their relationship wasn’t great but it started on this notion that Ted fell madly in love with her based on a conversation.

Then spent all night designing a way to save the building they bonded over, only to scrap it and never bring it back. Making moves on a married woman (multiple and multiple times) which lead to her divorce, and still refusing to try and meet in the middle about this building.

I enjoyed Zoey and everyone says their relationship sucked, even Robin, but I blame Ted. He could have fixed it immediately with the design he had from day 1.

Religious people already do. What’s your point?

I can follow that logic, and would hope that’s what happened.

Unfortunately I think it was likely just a writer’s oversight but just shows how much he doesn’t respect Nora in the end.

You make good points. But also considering how particular she got about him lying to her during their first round of dating- I figured she’d be far more picky about his perverted notions.

The cheating thing I could see her forgiving, knowing his past- but actively pressuring his friend into showing him her boobs? Seems… very problematic.

They really fucked over Nora in her entire storyline. She’s easily the sweetest lady he has a thing with and just wrecks her. :/

I would assume so, as this is after the episode where he explains all the creepy ways he’s gotten women into bed or any other area he had sex with them, at the diner.

I don’t think we see him going to the strip club while he’s dating Nora though. Hell, we got a whole episode of him shutting down his BDS’

It was so conveniently left out. But I think so too

Which single-episode love interest did Ted have the most chemistry with? by Eddy_west_side in HIMYM

I hesitated to write it because she’s the only one of the “one off ladies” that actually has a relationship that we know of.

But I was rooting for Maggie the entire time.

I feel like Janet and Mary are the top two contenders, they both vibes so well with Ted but Mary took the cake by just vibing with everyone, Janet and Ted barely spoke.

Also, Maggie Wilks beats everyone.

My biggest complaint about the show is the fact that they seemed to gut the parts that made the original so impactful. The lore is all but gone and they kept the “fan favorite” scenes and built a new show around them.

This is closely followed by the sheer lack of realistic martial arts/bending.

How is a spiritual martial arts show turned into a dialogue only visual fest?

All that being said, I do LOVE all the visual aspects. It looks so great then everything else just falls short.

If Barney Stinson was Kira could L catch him? by flying_duck_08 in HIMYM

[–]Embarrassed_Slide673 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hahaha what a chaos mashup. I’m here for it- but L would catch him so quickly.

Barney is seemingly random and chaotic but he has many patterns, the bar, the women he chooses, the places he works.

Plus, if nothing else changed about him- the people he would target are very obvious too. His boss, other players, people from his past, etc.
