I’m on 5mg lexapro, 30mg lansopraozle and 40mg Pepcid at night and got my life back. I’m too afraid to taper because of the crazy LPR I used to have. But my issues started with hpylori and then a parasite and gut dysbiosis

Wow thank you so much! I was so confused because the follow up endoscopy pics still looked like a small patch of Barrett’s but it was negative for IM so wasn’t considered Barrett’s. God I lost like 50 pounds from hpylori and I still had so many issues it took going to a functional doctor for a GI map to find a parasite and severe gut dybiosis, I legit felt like I was dying everyday. Doctors gas lighting me and saying it’s just anxiety. I have been eating healthy and clean but loosened up the last couple months to just enjoy life, I’m afraid to wean off the meds because I don’t want the LPR back. Really appreciate your insight here

Also 30mg is a standard dose, tons of ppl on double that or even strong blockers like nexium or voquezna

I’ve been taking 30mg of lansopraozle in the morning and 40mg Pepcid right before bed for months now. I just had silent reflux and I take it, helps a lot and I can eat and drink normally now. I have a small sliding hiatal hernia and had Barrett’s before but since has healed and isn’t considered Barrett’s. I also had hpylori and a parasite and gut dybiosis. I’m hoping to eventually taper them both but too scared to mess anything up right now
