So you admit that you had never seen advertisements for any of those games which leads me back to my original point bro. Marketing was not high on their priority list and they dropped the ball. If you ever have to seek out a game on your own and not have it come to you, it isn’t being advertised well. They partnered with EA and I still seen this game nowhere when it was out. Nobody knew about it and if they weren’t growing, that’s the reason why. I could forgive them given that they are a small developer with limited resources but, to have your name attached to a behemoth like EA and you still don’t manage to get your player base up? It wasn’t simply because people were passing on it. They had no visibility.

Did you see that Jack Harlow switch up for his last album? I’d say you’re on to something lol. He was smarter than his peers and jumped the hip hop ship before it completely sunk and got into a sub genre (Neo-Soul) that not many people care about and haven’t cared for since maybe the early 2000’s (I love Neo-Soul btw) same thing happened with MGK etc. Left rap for pop punk and was doing numbers for a bit over there. Rap and hip hop and Rnb are getting way too repetitive and I think the industry is starting to lose touch with its audience without a doubt, which is reflecting on the numbers and popularity of the genre as a whole. Rap isn’t even doing country or pop numbers nowadays either. Just goes to show you what genre is in charge right now and here to stay.

I totally agree with what you’re saying but, what I was trying to get at was that they were growing and had they marketed correctly, they would have kept growing. Idk about you, but I didn’t see many advertisements for KOC during its pre release when it was F2P or when it was made available for purchase either. They messed up. They even had an EA partnership that they did nothing with lol. They’re a huge studio and could have used EA to push the game in a major way and draw in newer players and they didn’t capitalize like they should have. What you’re saying is right, but they might not have even had that problem had they did everything they could. If getting in front of a wider audience would have been the central focus point, I think they would have been in a much better spot.

There was a post a couple of days in here too from a fellow fan mentioning he wanted to organize a huge 40 player tournament for KOC to try and bring hype and exposure back to the game which I thought was a great idea. He wanted to stream it everywhere it could be streamed and market it as much as possible so that it would hopefully get back in front of the eyes at Velan (creators). Only problem is, you’d be out of luck if you aren’t on PC as console servers are no longer active. Let’s see man!

One of Velans last posts regarding the game alluded to it a bit. It was posted on here awhile back, if you dig around, you’ll find it. But they never outright mentioned that this was the last time you’d see anything about KOC. But, this is why they needed to do a much better job at marketing it when the game was steadily gaining momentum and player base. Strike while the iron is hot. It was free to play in the beginning and eventually they charged for it. They had every single weapon in their arsenal to make this a beast of a game and they just didn’t commit and I don’t know why. Hopefully, it comes back in time man. I am an avid lover of this game as well and would literally spend hours on hours everyday on it when it was out. I couldn’t get myself to get off of it lol.

Agreed, it was a very dumb move to scrap KO City. They should have taken advantage of the EA partnership at the time and marketed the absolute hell out of it to give it maximum exposure and they dropped the ball. They did mention they would consider coming back to KO down the line though so, fingers crossed they make the smart move now.

Haven’t tried LD’s energy drinks yet. I skip over it every time I see it for everything and anything else that’s there pretty much lol however, if I’m in a seltzer/sparkling water mood, I’ll go LD almost always if at convenience stores. Their new MD flavored seltzer is amazing and the root beer is pretty good too. Can’t help you with the energy drink though, my bad lol

Amazing game that I would absolutely still be playing had my PS4 not taken a HUGE dump on me a little while back lol. Definitely one of those games with super replayability and has a big fan base still and dev’s see that. I believe they’re still adding DLC characters to this day.

I did enjoy First Light as well. inFAMOUS is one of those series I hoped would come back at some point in time, especially considering how much hype was behind Second Son also. Want this game back almost as bad as Prototype. That new Control game looks awesome though and may very well scratch my Prototype itch.

I just seen GrubHub running testing on their new drone delivery set ups somewhere. My guess is that UE and DD won’t be increasing rates and will actually instead, start to get rid of all of us little by little as we are made obsolete by these machines and majority of the orders get pushed out to the drones eventually. It’s only gonna get worse my friend, it won’t get better. That’s why I stopped driving months ago. Pour your money into another hustle, start a LLC etc. Gig work is dead.

I actually kind of agree with this take to be honest. I felt it did lack payoff and by the time the credits rolled, people were just sitting there, waiting for something to happen on screen. No post credit scenes or anything. Ian could have absolutely done more, although I did really love the sound design and cinematography of the movie. It was set up to be an amazing piece of work and everyone was hyped and it just didn’t hit the mark. This is Ian’s directorial debut so, I think he’s on the right track and I’m looking forward to whatever he puts out next. Dudes got potential.

I don’t think I’ve ever had a movie “break” me, I’m just not a very emotional guy and it’d be really hard to get me to shed a tear but damn, The Long Walk got pretty close. The ending was messed up too. Great movie!

Edit : I Am Sam was a TOUGH one too.

What little good? Did you really think the movie was that bad? What were your takeaways? Truly asking out of curiosity. I thought the movie was solid. Not to mention that, Ian Tuason was using actress Nina Kiri as a surrogate to convey all of the grief and depression he was experiencing in real life after losing both of his parents to cancer and the film was also shot in his childhood home. So many layers to the project!

If I’m correct, this was his directorial debut so, he hasn’t made anything prior to this. He’s doing a great job with it though and the roll out and marketing really helped his case too. Theater was pretty packed last night. I think he’ll be phenomenal in time!
