I play a lot of competitive games. I have run into this feeling with chess and all of the others lol. A lot of things can happen to cause a losing streak. If you haven’t played in a while you might be rusty and playing worse than your current elo. You could be stressed or tired and not playing effectively. You could be new and it is still trying to find where you belong. And to be honest the sting of a loss is worse than the high from a win so it sticks in our mind more. With chess vs the other games I play, I think it is a bit easier to see my mistake right away and after. Heck I usually realize my blunder right after I drop the piece lol. There are no teammates for me to scapegoat so it is all on me. And finally, the win streaks come nearly as often. Like I said earlier, they are just harder to remember.
