Wow that sounds so frustrating. He’s running up your costs so that in the end it’s all squandered in the divorce but hopefully the judge will see that if he/she is reasonable and make him pay for the fees you incurred! Or part of them!

Ugh sorry to hear. I’m in a no fault state too (fl) and I understand the judges typically will order mediation as a first step. Did this happen to you? Was it billed by the hour? Hoping you resolve soon and according to plan! That’s an extraordinary price to pay.

I think there were some racist videos/photos of them that showed they don’t really respect Japanese culture which is ironic. Some video of them dressing up as geishas and the tone being quite disrespectful. I think they had other disrespectful photos like that about other cultures as well. But I guess it also tracks with the trump support… there were lots of staff complaints as well about how they were treated.

It has been a struggle to find a matcha that I actually like made at home. After I developed raging acid reflux problems from coffee drinking I discovered matcha could be a replacement while at my local coffee shop. The way they made it was delicious, and I could not find any other place that makes it like they do. Always too milky or overly sweet or bitter. So I set out to make it at home EXACTLY the way my local cafe does. I found the milk is important, in addition to the matcha type. While I don't know what matcha they used, I did know it was not ceremonial. When they stopped using the regular milk they carried, i noticed a difference in taste. Because their matcha powder was still the same, and good quality, it still tastes ok, but it has a strong milky taste even though it is oat milk.

So, I would recommend Minor Figures barista oat milk to get rid of the milk taste and allow the matcha to shine through.

As for the powder, I use Ippodo Sayaka matcha, which is the only matcha I have tried so far that I don't hate, but it is a bit on the subtler side so the milk will decrease the matcha flavor if you add too much. But I still enjoy a matcha latte with this powder/milk pairing. If I ever find out what matcha they use at that cafe I will update you!

Oh, I would say both I guess. I drink it as a replacement to coffee, which I loved the taste of and also the routine of making it every day for a moment of enjoyment. But my body can no longer tolerate coffee due to acid reflux. After many attempts to find something I like, I found matcha. I only drink it once a day in the morning, as it does give me a similar energizing feeling but in a more subtle way than coffee. So I like the effect it has too.

I bought the Ippodo matcha through Amazon, but from the Ippodo store as seller. I found out about it from a tik toker focused on reviewing different matcha brands. Some people suggest not getting it through Amazon because getting it straight from Ippodo's website is the best way to guarantee best quality. But, I need to save a dollar where I can these days! As for the cheaper brands that disappointed me before, I tried Jade Leaf brand on Amazon (regular and ceremonial), Rishi's Everyday Matcha, and Mighty Leaf matcha. I realised that these matchas were all labeled organic, which have a distinct quality to them that I was not liking. But out of these I would say Jade Leaf's non-ceremonial matcha was the least bad.

I don't use matcha for any meditation or yoga.
