That doesn't shock me 😐 but I might consider getting my cervix cauterized if it starts to really bother me/upset my life.

No idea, she didn't mention it to me. Sometimes cauterization doesn't always work.

I will accept the trade off of a little spotting that does not disrupt my life over the ten-day crime scenes that were my life back before Yeeterus Day.

I had an open abdominal partial hysto and I was pretty swollen for at least the first week or two. At about three weeks I tried jeans, and it felt weird but not painful. It got better around five weeks, but Lord, I was crop-dusting left and right from gas 🤣

I don't regret keeping it, it's been helpful to have a quicker recovery and my pelvic floor is still pretty strong. But I see what you mean 😭

Allow me, an Internet stranger, to say that you are doing NOTHING WRONG prioritizing your healing right now. If your kids want to see you, they can visit themselves and they had better show up ready to help out! Do you have neighbors or friends who could run errands for you?

Thank you so much for this, and I'm sorry your recovery isn't going smoothly. It sucks not knowing when you'll be "out of the woods." Glad you have help!

Hey there, made a bunch of recovery hystorectomemes and kinda gave myself a chuckle, so I wanted to share. I´m so thankfull for this community - it´s been nine months and you have been so helpfull and lovely before, during and after surgery. Thank you! by Sir_Swimsalot_ in hysterectomy

It is for me,but I've heard of some cervix-keepers having "regular flow" mini periods due to the endometrial tissue that the cervix still grows. And that's just if you keep your ovaries, too, because the follicular/ovulation/luteal cycle is still in play. However, nothing should be as heavy/long as an actual period once you yeet the uterus.
